My old Maryland group of friends was at your live recording session at the Royal Mile, for "Live behind Bars", and one of my dearest friends, Kirby, sat right across the table from me, as we collectively drained the Guinness kegs and emptied the stocks of fine Scotch they kept at that famous establishment. We sang, and ate, and drank, and even went out on the sidewalk for a smoke with the band at intermission. You can even hear us shouting, singing, and pounding on the tables in the recording! It is a memory that will last my entire life. Kirby was taken from us in a tragic accident in July 2002. This song brings back those precious memories, and gives them an even more rich and sweet place in my life. I live in North Carolina now, and that group of friends has dispersed all over the country--CA, NH, PA, NC, WV--and the Royal Mile is closed and gone forever, but three things are constant in our lives--our connections to each other, our love of good ale, and the Pyrates Royal. The Pyrates Royale have had a special place in my life, and this song just seals the deal for all time. Good on you, folks. Thanks for being an important part of my past, and for constantly creating new reasons to stay with you!...

Well daymn. I left Maryland almost 10 years ago, and my last visit to MDRF was probably 20 years ago, but seeing yu all on here made me seriously smile sohard it hurt. Memories of the final sing at the White Hart, and some of the best days I can remember. Thanks for the smiles
