The audio track remains the same. No changes were made to it.

I have done a lot of listening to Map of the Floating City, background female vocals missing, scales (after One big bazar...!), 6ths vocal lines under the 'If you Run with it'-part, and the synths chords (short accts) just after the one, just happen to be there while I hadn't quite heard them yet. Maybe a different mix?

@@gertvink Glad you like the song. Thomas Dolby did an amazing job on that entire CD. I'm a big fan and wanted to honor his work and my love of Dune with this. The mp3 used in it was ripped directly from my "A Map of the Floating City" CD with Exact Audio Copy and then imported into my editing tool. Possibly something in the editing tool (compression, etc.) caused a change. Honestly, its been 11 years since i made this, but I didn't consciously make any changes to the audio.

@@EricVanderburg Probably you haven't done anything to the original, but everybody who knows the album can TELL this is s totally different mix, without the female backing vocals, synth fills.... I just listened to the original .... Those things are just not on the KZbin mix. It's not that that falls away in this setting... Strange

Hello Eric. Thank you very much for your video. I have a 124T autoloader which showed a Position Error in the display. I have disassembled the case and it seems the picker is broken. I have bought a replacement picker and I have removed the broken one. from the case. The tape recorder has a tape in it which I need to eject in order to reconnect the rear flex cable to the new picker. Nevertheless, I haven't been able to eject the tape. When I press the small button in the front nothing happens. If I press and hold the button for 10 seconds, the unit resets. During the unit's boot up the eight segments display flash several segments and finally, it shows "8." just before turning off. The green light next to the button flashes and finally it glows steady green. Do you know how can I eject the tape? Do I have to connect the picker to eject the tape? Do I have to follow some sequence pressing the button the front of the recorder? Kind regards,

I’m new to the 124T. Trying to sell an old unit and know little about it. How do I tell if there’s still a cartridge loaded? If I turn it on will it indicate that? Do people want cartridges when buying and if so how do I erase it if there’s one in there? I pulled out the magazine but it’s empty I believe. I also have a brand new power backup for these I’m going to try and sell if there’s interest. Thanks.

The easiest thing to do would be to plug it in and then tell the unit to eject. You can do this by going to "commands" on the main menu and then select "Eject." This will eject the tape if it is in there. However, erasing it is another issue. You will really need some software to interface with it to erase it properly so I would recommend that you destroy the tapes to prevent someone from obtaining the data on them if they potentially contain sensitive, personal, financial, or other protected data.

Is it possible to upgrade a dell powervault 124t that has a dlt vs160 drive to a lto 5 drive?

The drive units are upgradable so you could swap it out with an LTO unit. However, the library autoloader would be for the DLT so I don't think it would be able to swap in the LTO tapes properly so you would have to replace that too. You would probably be better off buying a unit that already has LTO capability on it in that situation.

Conan, I looked through my email and found it. I bought this back in 2014 for the same price they are selling it now so there is probably a better deal out there. It is a BK SEMS BK171WMOT. I liked it because it had no logo on it and a small border. www.ebay.com/itm/-/281457970225 If I was doing it all over again, I would probably go with one of those super wide touchscreens to better fit the space and I would also use a USB arcade adapter and hook up the buttons on the jukebox to it with a mapping script to use them as key presses.

I thought about it but decided to do something that would take less notice. Since the back had black on it, I did the overlay in black with a few music notes.
