Cats and humans need fat to keep them regular, not fibre. If cats have enough fat in their diet they will stay regular without the need for fibre, and this is true of humans as well.

Sunflower oil, being a seed oil, can be toxic for cats and humans. Instead, feed them natural fats such as beef tallow. Besides, beef contains enough fat to cook itself; additional oil isn't necessary.

Cats are carnivores and so are humans! It's no surprise that they can develop diabetes from eating non-carnivorous foods, similar to us.
@CatsPawsandWhiskers20236 күн бұрын
That's a great point! Both cats and humans can experience health issues from diets that don't match their natural carnivorous tendencies.

You guys need to fix your vocabulary! Pets are not our "friends". They are family, ie. fur kids! We don't own them and we are not their "caretakers" but their parents. Have you heard of the words "pet parent"? So, I am not giving you a like, nor will subscribe. If you want to be successful, do more research before publishing your content!

My experience is if they are young it's ideal. If they are fully adult or senior NO. Most adult cats are territorial and don't want or need another cat around unless you've socialized them a lot with other cats while young.

Just over three weeks ago, our kitty gave birth to a litter of three. We are planning to keep them all. Hopefully getting the kittens spayed and/our neutered (we don't know their genders yet) will prevent any rivalries that might occur. No guarantee, but we've got our fingers crossed!

@@CatsPawsandWhiskers2023 It was by accident that we accumulated so many cats that were in desperate need of a good home. Number 7 happened when we found a pair of beautiful - but terrified- 7 week old kittens dump on a busy road. How could we say no?! We gave one her forever home and a friend, the other one. 😊

It depends if you want to increase your chances of getting Toxoplasmosis and REALLY liking your cats.
@CatsPawsandWhiskers2023Ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment! According to CDC, in an otherwise healthy person who is not pregnant, treatment for toxoplasmosis usually is not needed. If symptoms occur, they typically go away within a few weeks to months. More than 40 million people infected, but most don't have symptoms.
@frufruJАй бұрын
I've had 5 cats over the years, all foundlings, and I don't have toxoplasmosis. My friend is actually a member of Professor Flegr's research team (he's the "toxoplasmosis scientist" whose picture was shown on Family Guy), they tested my blood, and I was negative 🙂 But yeah, as PawsandWhiskers writes, it's not dangerous unless you contract it during pregnancy.

@@CatsPawsandWhiskers2023 Check out Professor Jaroslav Flegr's research. Toxoplasmosis may affect a person's behaviour. I'm actually one of his teams' "test subjects", but I turned out not to have it 😀

Pls do not give the "convenient" antibiotic injection Convenia to cats. I lost 2 cats, including a most-beloved Tuxedo bc an unknowing, ill-informed vet recommended and injected this drug. It caused ataxia (weak legs) in both, urinary incontinence, stomach issues, and was a specific cause of death in the tuxedo. Cat owners and vets: read the prescribing info and contradictions listed by the manufacturers, Pfizer and Zoetis. Under no circumstances shld it be given for respiratory diseases, as stated by the mnftrs. US vets are using this as a first-line, general antibiotic. It is a very dangerous drug, abd i hope no other cat suffers what my cats did or die from it. Educate yourselves abt this and protect your felines.

@@SudsyMedusa53 So, a really common issue ostrich farmers come across is that ostriches get sexually confused and start finding their human caretakers more attractive than their mates. The sexual confusion even runs deep enough to different ostriches being attracted to men or women, or even both.
@SudsyMedusa53 Жыл бұрын
@@solblackguy I am aware of this unfortunate phenomenon, and I personally find it hilarious. K S and I are referencing a show called Letterkenny which features a running gag about a man who "allegedly" fucked a (possibly sick) ostrich, much to the horror, disgust, fascination, and chagrin of the small town he lives in.
