You will def need the larger reservoir. The tomato plant by itself will drink that reservoir empty in in less than 4 days when it matures, then add the cucumber and and you will be filling it every other day. It would be nice if Rise developed a 15-20gal reservoir because even their 9gallon is not enough if you're growing leafy greens and especially cucumber! Congrats on the great deal you got on that.

I had that exact model. I burned over 500 CDs with it until the record side would identify all CDs as a blank CD-RW. But that took over 5 years to happen. By the way, CD-RWs have changed since that recorder was built. All the ones I have play just fine but I can't record on them anymore with anything new. So modern RWs might not work on that. Nice to see one working after so long. 👍👍

I am a happy and satisfied owner of a pair of EPOS 14. I bought them in the early nineties. Unfortunately, one bass driver no longer works properly. My speaker didn't get damaged by itself, but because of someone's carelessness.. Can it be serviced or replaced, and where? Otherwise, they are excellent speakers, today on the market anything similar costs incomparably more and the question is what you bought, how long will it last and when will you get tired of it, so I would be very happy to try to save them if possible.

These speakers creep up on you. When one first sits down and listens they sound flat and boring. Nothing seems to stand out, no WOW factor. But as time goes by, the tracks are played and the listener relaxes into the MUSIC they start to hear it and understand. Pace. Rhythm, Timing. Cohesiveness. Detail. Vocals. Piano. Strings. The naturalness of it all. The midrange out of these speakers (where most of the listening is done) is outstanding. Hard to beat.

Thanks for the review my friend. Funny you chose the Nirvana MTV Uplugged cd to demonstrate the sound. That particular recording is incredibly clear and transparent. It 's like Cobain is performing right in front of you. I played that cd a lot when we just got the speakers in '94. You can easily hear the difference between high quality recordings and lower quality with the es 11 's The high quality recordings really shine. For example , 'Don 't speak' from Danni Carlos, 'Fluid' from Yosi Horikawa 'My Bass' from Brian Bromberg and 'Liberty' from Anette Askvik to name a few. Oh yes and the album 'Nouvelle Vague' from Nouvelle Vague also sounds very very satisfying through the es 11 's. I found out female vocals in general sound very good from the 11 's. Of course music tast is also a very personal thing. If you have any recommendations of songs you find sounding especially great through the Epos es 11 's please let me know.. Greatings from Holland

@Ray Kodiak that's alright, no problem of course. A question; I can buy a pair of Es 12 's for a good price. And would rotating them, say one month one pair and the next month the other pair, mean you have to burn them in again and again?
@rompstar
@rompstar Жыл бұрын
@@Eric-lh6wp the concept of speaker burn-in is for new speakers, the idea is to relax the drivers, etc... especially the woofer.. used speakers by now are all burned in / hope that makes sense... I heard the 12 might have more bass extension, not really sure, I haven't played them side by side / my 12s are in a different space vs 11s. I say if you can get them for a good price, buy them as backup :)
@Eric-lh6wp

@Ray Kodiak I played them side by side. For my set up the Es 12 sounds best. The 12 sounds a bit less transparent in the high and mid than the 11. But the 12 has more bass indeed and is therefore sounding more balanced than the 11. The Es11 sounds sublime in mid and high, but lacks in the lower region. My speaker cables also take away some bass. So the es12 is very welcome in my set up. No booming bass here, but just enough to not only hear the music, but also feel it resonate in your chest, which makes it more fun. Cheers!

@Ray Kodiak hello Ray, your answer already tells a lot. When my wife and I bought our Hi Fi set-up in 1993 we indeed had the intention to invest in something for the rest of our life. Of course in time some components fell of, like the cassette deck and the radio tuner. A few years ago we changed the cd player for a Cambridge CXN network player. Streaming and discovering new music on Spotify hugely improved the pleasure of listening. Recently we stept over to Tidel; a huge improvement in streaming quality. What remained the same over all these years are the Rotel RA 980 BX (powerhouse!) amplifier, the Ocos speaker cables and of course our Epos Es 11 speakers with their stands. Very recently I changed the 30 years old Transparent Interlinks for a pair of Chord Epic interlinks. The huge improvement in openess en detail of sound is a true revelation. This made me curious about how my 30 years old Epos es11 speakers would relate to speakers that are currently on the market. So, that 's why your answer already says a lot for me. Best regards from the Netherlands, Eric
