Thank you so much for this video! I have struggled and become frustrated when I've tried to follow other instructed. The key for me is to count the stitches as you showed. Good job!

Each ridge is two rows. Look closely at your work as you crochet, you will be able to see when you have completed a ridge.

I might - it depends a bit on the patterns I design. However, the exact same technique can be applied to stocking stitch.

Yes, it's reversible since you do exactly the same thing on both sides

Very helpful. I am looking at salvages for when I crochet a border. I don't enjoy trying to alternately insert my hook in a too large hole or a too tight one. I will experiment with your techniques in search of a smoother border. Hope I am making sense.
