Nice segment. People who are afraid of snakes should understand that this is perfectly natural in a large percentage of us. Science for instance has demonstrated that monkeys are born with an innate fear of snakes. So those of us afraid of snakes are simply closer to our monkey ancestors in their genetic expression. No shame in that, monkeys can be fascinating. The snake at 1:35 is a European grass snake by the way.

This is the way I was taught when building decks. Some of those decks are 30 years old now and those notches are holding up just fine.

This is not a comprehensive list of snakes in Ontario, as there are quite a few of Ontario snakes that are not on this list...So c'mon and give us the whole list of the Ontario snakes. Geez Man, and you're the ministery, more like the mystery, 'cause you don't know what's going on around here either!! How about completing the list with ALL of the snakes in Ontario, not just the ones YOU WANT!!! AND STOP WITH THE RIP-OFF CLICKBAITING US...This could be dangerous if some tourists encounters one of the snakes you left off the list and they don't know what exactly bit them because you didn't include ALL THE SNAKES THAT ARE IN ONTARIO...SHAME ON YOU GUYS!!!!!

Squirrels - argh! Eating all the bird food and suet, destroying the tube feeders... all I can say is... Hilarious! They didn't even try to climb the tree! That's why they're such a menace - because they're so smart. Great job - I wish I was handier.

I was staying at a Air BnB in Amarillo Tex couple years ago. They had the same design set up bit they had painted the cinder blocks orange & black and the ends of the wood did not stick out of the ends, it was beautiful....

Did you have to use a primer for the aluminum ? Or just go with a matte paint ?

But what if the post continues on up to a roof? I shouldn't think that in that case one would want to make a huge notch in the post because that would weaken it a lot.

What if someone helped me plug the tire but he did not use glue, just that molded soften black rubber cement he jammed in with a pair of pointy plier. The tire leaked out air and is flat again. If I had a profession patch that same hole, will that be possible?

The ratchet tie down is great. I'm in the process of doing something similar. Great job!!! and stopping up the openings at the bottom of the baffle with hardware cloth... super... They will try to gnaw away the bark to get under the baffle. Painting black is important. That gets hot under the baffle. Did it work over time?

That was cool , how can we build one ourselves? Any plans writing down, how much weight can it carry couple of cement bags? How about a material ramp to bring up supplies from 20’ below? Love workable ideas

I have found a cheap, easy, DIY solution for when you've already been exposed and have started to react to the PI oil. Whenever I realize I've got a PI rash coming on, I start drinking beet juice. Trust me, as weird as it is, I wouldn't do it if it didn't work, and this remedy has been working for me and my family for three years. If we are paying attention and catch it early enough, sometimes the blisters don't even form. You can drink beet juice from the canned grocery store beets, or make your own fermented beet kvass. Either works. Hope this helps anyone who has already got the poison ivy reaction started..
