Beautiful! The movie "Woman's World" (1954) features shots of Ford styling models identical to those in Ron's collection, as well as full-sized, operational Ford concept cars of the period. The plot follows an automotive magnate's (Clifton Webb) effort to pick the right successor to his deceased general manager.

Yeah, the models that are really "warped" were usually the ones that were in the "attic"and the warping is called "ATTIC BURN"and as he said, there were items piled on top of the unfortunate car...

I would appreciate any comments on this old button I fould metal detecting in S/E Michigan. It was in the ground in an area where the first house was erected in the very early 1800's in Lenawee county.

Question: when looking through a box of buttons, what’s the best place to get information about your particular buttons? I’m not really sure where or how to look for a picture of the buttons I want to learn more about. Thanks. 😃

What an amazing collection. I love this scale which really allows you to appreciate the form of the cars. And what a great story about that Toronado, he retells it like it happened yesterday. And now that car is at the center of the display and surely one of the great memories of his years of collecting.

I’m not hating on this guy, but it must have been 15 to 20 years since he has got to talk about his cars.

He’s wrong about the years of the Hudsons. And Hudson started in 1909 and was made until 1957. The last three years were after the merger with Rambler.

i wonder if he ever had to deal with the tool and die men who had to make the dies for these body panels.I bet there was a lot of head-butting and arguments about what was feasible and what wasnt.

Of course the younger generations have heard of the Hudson car company. Anyone who has ever watched the Pixar movie Cars knows of the Hudson Hornet. Studebaker I’m not so sure though. I mean, I am more likely going to find one of those at a car show than a Hudson.

"Ford At Fifty," I have a few photos of the baby blue-colored model. It was for sale at a Fall Hershey Auto Show circa 1996. I can't attach the photos or I would. I would like to hear anything you have to share about the 1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan convertible. Love the 49 Ford models. The 49 Hudsons are incredible as well. You really can't see the full impact of the design until you see it at that scale. Thank you for sharing!!!!
