The guitar tone on this album is what I think of when I think of a tight guitar tone. This is everything Metallica should have had on master of puppets with all their talk of tightness. Genuinely fantastic band, love these guys.

as a punk hc kid, i love this album, there are so much good lyrics and sound on it, i find this a lot better and violent than make up edgy boys with inverted cross.

Yes. Dave Carlo took a hardcore direction with "Violent Restitution" already, but there was tension between him and Sheepdog, partly because of this.
