I haven't heard that pack points are region locked. (Although I am not in Asia) Hopefully you have them, but haven't been able to find them. To find them, you have to pick on a pack to get to the pack opening screen. Then the pack points are in the lower right hand corner. (There is a number followed by pts) Click this to open the screen to exchange pack points.

Hey man, great video. I think I opened 20+ packs and still never got a Lapras ex sadly. Do you know what are the chances when you open that pack with 6 cards?

I believe there are 5 cards with a 20% chance for each card. I've pulled 4 Lapras ex and 2, 3, 4 & 6 of the other cards. And the other people that i talk to have gotten fairly even distributions too. Hope your luck turns around!

I have found that Raihan is now marked as "forbidden". I'm very beginner so I do not understand what exactly this means. What another mechanics/trainer card could be used to have more energy?

Raihan has rotated out of standard format. Only cards with F, G & H regulation marks are legal (or older versions of cards that have been reprinted). The deck already has Magma Basin. You could try Mela or Candela. You could add another Energy type & use Crispin. There is Marnie's Pride. You could always add Charizard ex, but then you are probably better of just playing Charizard.

@@ROMPJ Rotation happens every year, probably around March. The last 2-3 years of cards are legal in Standard Format. Pokemon that rotate will not come back to Standard Format. With Trainer Cards, they reprint some of them with new regulation marks but not all of them. My guess is that Raihan will not be reprinted. But you can play Raihan & other older cards in Expanded Format.

I played several games yesterday a mix of wins and losses. And even on the losses (i did not concede and we played all the way through) I got like 85 points and then around 185 on the wins. I think the new BP feels good, I like not having to worry about making sure i have crystals set aside for a "premium" version of the BP. I can just get packs with my crystals when i decide i want to

The ditto shown in the video is way better than the one in Pokemon TCG Pocket.... That ditto can only copy an attack of any of your opponents pokemon, but needs the exact same energy (not just amount, but also same type). This gives Ditto an immense debuff and makes it almost impossible to use on anything other than normal-type.

Yes, the Ditto in Pocket is very limited since you probably won't have access to the necessary energy. Maybe Pocket will add some way to manipulate the Energy Zone in the future?

It's have a perfect sense. Quicker battle pass because it's more tiers right now, Less League progress because you don't have negative point for loss. And small amout of gold because it will be erased. And probably when you have winning streak its more xp.

weird Q (also sort of off-topic, but would appreciate any input): is there a point of getting into PTCGL if I'm not interested/do not collect the physical PTCG? I'm mostly a vgc player who's looking for more stuff.

I enjoy playing the TCG, and basically just play online with Live. So you do not need to care about the physical cards to play the game. The game is not monetized, so you have good access to cards without paying or grinding too much. But the game is buggy, and they have done a poor job of improving it. The other option is Pokemon TCG Pocket, which is the mobile app that dropped last week. Pocket is basically a simplified version of the TCG. It has been developed by the parent company, so it works well, but it is monetized. Personally, I find the deckbuilding & game play of the full TCG enjoyable, and just put up with the occasional issues with Live.

Update is out now for the Battle Pass & Ranked Ladder. But no one knows when they will actually fix the bugs in the game.

Haven't watched the video but as a filthy casual that enjoys collecting cards i like this game, it's chill, no overtly "in your face" monetization, and i can auto the fights which i kinda don't care about.

I've been playing tcgo since the beginning. its my favorite game I like tcgl I want ladder boards & trading back I had the most fun with them. Pokémon pocket drained my phone battery so I'm not playing it for that reason.

Hii, I just started so thanks for the video!! Do you also know if there's any benefit to waiting before using the No-cost 2 Week Trial (like in Pokémon Sleep, where you can take advantage of the monthly reset)? And btw do you add friends?

I am going to wait to use the 2 Week Trial for the Premium Pass. You get to open a lot of packs right now, so the Premium Pass does not seem critical. But when the next set drops in the future, I don't expect to be opening as many packs. So the Premium Pass should be more important when the next set drops. I have not been sending Friend Requests after things like Wonder Picks.

That card has ruined the game to the point where I quit. I play Yu-Gi-Oh! already and I have been Yu-Gi-Oh player for a very long time. The fact that there’s no counter to the strategy sucks. Generally, no skill in comparison The format is in a very shit spot

Yes, it should allow your active Pokemon to retreat as long as it has energy attached

The Xatu line is still there ! I thought you would go full Noctowl ! 😂 Seriously, most Clefairy decks I have faced so far, seem to play it like a Lost Zone deck; ie. they regard Clefairy like Comfey, and aim to use Clefairy's Ability as much as possible plus the decks were loaded with Switching options, so Clefairy will not waste Energy on retreat. I suppose it is refreshing to see your deck with fewer Switching options 😅 Also, what happened to Enamorus ? I thought it is the highlight of your deck ? 🤣 Another idea is to add Rabsca or Toedscruel ex as a defence, as Clefairy is within knock-out of many spread decks (hint, hint) 🤪

I love this deck, will try to build it and play locally too! Some tips though: I know playing while recording can be tough, but there were some actions that could be done to slim the deck and increase the odds of finding Area Zero or the other Pokemon that you were looking for. I would leave Xatu as the last action to do, before Clefairy (to pull guaranteed energies into your bench), use Earthen Vessel to also put some energies from your deck to your hand, discard nest balls by using Ultra Balls... This way some cards could have showed up before, including the Hisuian-Heavy Ball

Latias Ex is bad.. 👎🏻 it’s an unnecessary liability because there’s way better options for what it does. It definitely takes up bench space unless area zero is part of the plan. In Gardevoir ex there’s no need for it especially wanting to retreat most times to recycle energies. No need to add it in Miraidon… definitely other options for switching. Hydreigon definitely over the Latias with how it can be its own deck and strategy.

The idea of Clefairy is that we can remove all the Energy from the deck as fast as possible and leave all the more useful cards in the deck. Somehow i believe it seems to contradict with Xatu's Ability. i would recommend we remove the Xatu line. If you are worried you can't power up Mewtwo fast enough, maybe add Energy Switches and/or the Clefable ex that move Energy ? 🤔

Yes, the Clefairy & Xatu do fight each. I include the 2nd Super Rod to help with this. I thought about Bibarel to give an engine, but did not really test that...

There are cards in the game that are fun to play with and Dusknoir gives your opponent an easy way to take them off your board. Dusknoir has thrown prize mapping into upheaval and added this unconventional randomness to the game. The purpose of Dusknoir is just to be a kamikaze. Its only purpose is to blow itself up. So when you use use Dusknoir and take out lets say Radiant Greninja with Dusknoir, the prize card you take is worth more than the prize card your opponent takes because Radiabt Greninja has more purposes than just to blow itself up, Radiant Greninja is a Draw supporter and can attack the bench.
