Very valid comparison of the benevolent judge in a legal system and the internal judge. The punishment of transgression internally is severe.

Hi Doctor. Few months back I found out that I have OCD. I saw a psychiatrist and had a session with him. Simply put, he told me to stop resisting the thoughts and let it go, as you said. I understand, that is the only solution. But if the solution was that simple & easy, why would me(or people) seek professionals help? I tried letting it go, stopping to act on the thoughts, but it keeps coming back. In my experience, ironically the OCD thoughts has increased significantly since I found out that I have OCD. Before that my life was simple. Now, whenever a thought comes, I start questioning and over-complicating if this is OCD. Lots of times I wished I never know I have OCD or what an OCD is :( I just wanted to request you to please post a video explaining practical ways, methods to deal with OCD thoughts.

Lovely medical explanation dr...Dr.may be silly question from my end...what is the status of Blind people,Do they get sleep or what is their condition of brain during day&night..,Through brail they operate computers&smart phones.I know a person who operates all these ...thatswhy asking..what is sleep for them
@Mindscapematters
@Mindscapematters Жыл бұрын
Thank you Ms Priya. It is a good question. People who are blind also have good sleep. All of us have an inherent circadian rhythm. It is usually about 24.5 hours/day. The circadian rhythm of people with vision gets adjusted everyday by light, to a 24 hour cycle. This advantage is not there for the blind. So, they sleep according to their inherent rhythm and at some point, they have sleep disturbance because their natural rhythm is not adjusted to 24 hours cycle. This disturbance also varies depending on the type and cause of blindness.
