Hi 👋 We are using: Math with confidence (we do together since my boys are 2 yrs apart but on the same math level). ❤ MWC 🎉 😊Making our History and Science content 🌋 We are doing unit studies based on Early American History 🇺🇸 🎉Handwriting: Writing without Tears 😭 We do it each day and have 2 days where we loop it into our specials 👀Latin and Spanish (my one son tags along but he’s learning). You might be a homeschool mom when your kids greet the restaurant servers (unprompted) in Latin. Then they switch to Spanish 😂

What was the first curriculum?
@creativecuriouslearning3 күн бұрын
It’s a Social Studies Curriculum from ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) I believe it’s called Aces Paces too. I am very unfamiliar with the company but this is their Canadian social studies program. From what I do know this company is very popular in the USA and has stuff for lots of subjects. Hope this answers your question.

We are homeschooling 2 teen athletes I work with this year and it’s exciting!!! They are getting close to each other and I love it!!! We tried mind benders and We didn’t like it but I don’t mind checking out their other products!!! At this age focus on reading more than grammar!!!
@creativecuriouslearning4 күн бұрын
That’s cool you are homeschooling two teen athletes this year. Yeah they have lots of different products! We will definitely focus on reading but especially my oldest he’s getting really good at reading so I don’t mind adding some grammer and such in to challenge him and help his reading of knowing grow. I think my 2nd grader who is improving daily in his reading skills could really benefit from the added grammer and understanding.

I’m now looking at doing an Hawaiian social studies as well as Aussie as we are in Hawaii often and me and my husband work for a Hawaiian community!!! My older daughter has asked me to do a research project on Japan!!! I agree with you on the worksheet policy!!! We do the same often!!! I printed a notebook for sequence one for all my kids and none are wrote in but we discuss them!!! Nothing wrong with doing a simple anatomy curriculum for ur oldest as anatomy is complicated!!! We’ve found my kids prefer a notebook for writing!!! The rabbit trails bible curriculum looks awesome!!!
@creativecuriouslearning4 күн бұрын
Oh that’s neat about Hawaiian social studies and Aussie! That would also be neat to learn more about Japan! Yes, sometimes it’s a lot of writing as long as they know the concepts and have the knowledge and are learning we can be flexible with the worksheets and our approach. We have notebooks for writing too. I’m excited about the rabbit trails bible curriculum! Thanks for watching!

We loved TGTB math games and MWC is game based!!! Nothing wrong with curriculums taking a little longer in different seasons!!! I believe season means appointed times so that means in different times homeschooling looks different!!! We only use Christian Science curriculums!!! Level 4 AAR is probably grade 5 or 6 reading with the difficulty of words but that’s my opinion!!! I feel like it’s needed tho as English has some weird words!!!
@creativecuriouslearning7 күн бұрын
What does MWC stand for? Yes, I agree it’s ok when some curriculums take longer in different seasons. I love that appointed times. So far we have only used Christian Science programs too. That’s good to know about level 4 AAR. I knew it had a bit more challenging words but sounds like we are at a good place with our reading levels which I was already thinking but with what you said just confirmed that. Yes the english language can definitely be weird and tricky.
