Mr. Ben van Dijk is a talented concert trombonist who also plays flamenco guitar! Some time ago I communicated with him and he graciously responded. Been from Argentina I enjoyed his Piazzolla tunes!

Great to hear from the master again. I had the same experience that using a practice mute dramatically improves stamina and embouchure in a very short time. It's just hard to find a practice mute that is consistent through all the registers and doesn't sound metallic and horrible. I'd love to have a tenor sized practice mute that stays as close a possible to the open trombone sound. Does your mute offer this over other mutes?

Its like Rita's K&H Bart van Lier trombone is coming home. Rita adventures far and wide in her new role as Poet/Composer, but I'm glad to see her not neglect those nourishing jazz roots. Great, rich sound, team. Great arrangement, Ilja. Nothing comes as close to a human voice in its production of sound as a trombone. I love to see its resurgence.
