I remember in the mid 2000's the One Star was sold at Target along with Converse jeans and snap button plaid shirts all with the All Star branding. Target back then had some really cool shit in the mens clothing department. I remember weekly Target runs with my girlfriend at the time who loved shopping at Target. I would always find something that was cool and affordable. This was right before the skinny jean era. It was the boot cut low rise pant era. Its crazy how shit changes just to repeat over again. I once heard some fashion dude say that what is "in style" is always is the decade prior to the last decade. Like in the 80's it was the 60's ...and so on. I'm not too sure if that's always true but it does seem like kids like the shit their parents had when they were younger.

Have you done your research about down fills? Because it seems you have gotten it wrong. The number 700, 900 etc. have nothing to do with absolute amount of down use. So it doesn’t tell you anything about it’s absolute insulation capabilities. The numbers refers to the quality. The higher the number the better the weight to volume ratio. Which means a higher number will indicate a product can technically be lighter and warmer for the same volume compared to a lower number.

Got my first pair in 1966 as a 12 year old...have been wearing them ever since!....at best guess, probably at least 12 pairs. The coolest man ever Steve McQueen, wore them.

Leaving out pit zips is such a weird omission, especially when the lesser model has them. Would have bought this in a heartbeat if they had them, as I’m struggling to find a good packable jacket that doesn’t have a massive helmate compatible hood.
