Nice Private fishing spot, and some good Demos on what a spinner-bait actually does. My church family has sever over stocked ponds with 3-4 pounder that need to be fished and removed. I usually fish spinner-bait with 7.3.1 and 7.5.1 fun stuff. Dreaming for next house to have a big Pool so I can watch all my baits in action before using in a real setting, Just started fishing Med dive 3-5 feet 5-10 feet crank baits with 5.5.1-6.8.1 23"( big bait)- 25"-27" pull, so it would be nice to see.

After many years of fishing, I've caught bass and other predator species on everything from jigs, poppers, rapalas....but I've NEVER caught a fish on a spinner bait. And I have dedicated DAYS to only using and learning the ins and outs with successful buddies buuut it's just not in the cards for me haha.

This is the best Topwater bait I’ve ever used and you can fish it in so many different ways, walking, popping, and letting it sit on surface and spin they can’t stand it. It’s critical to rig it the way you did coming out past the chin. Use the Mustad Grip Pin hooks it keeps the hook from sliding down. This bait kills it during the spawn just fish it slowly. This is the best video I’ve seen for the pop Shadz. Excellent video Nick.

I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
