2011 was a year where many big companys, police, firefighters celebretys and others did such videos, and i´m really glad they did because they set a sign to the world that it´s ok to be a part of the lgbtq+ but sadly it also stopped there. and i didnt think that the job is complete. please go on doing this good job. greetings from germany.

First guy is really annoying, I can't stand people who label themselves/ identify themselves based on their sexuality. That guy sounds like a huge douche that talks about nothing but being gay and if you get annoyed he would accuse you of being a homophobe.

@marNLL Because... MORON.... I didn't realize what his game was all about. Do you think he walked up to me and told me his intentions?? I was informed by a co-worker after the fact who was better able to discerne his intentions. By that time, he had been pushed out of the group by the GPM and replaced. What kind of idiot would come out with fists of insults blazing without knowing the story first??

@stormrage2007 Thank you for the opportunity, but let me tell you something. Especially on the internet, it is hard to tell if someone is telling a light-hearted joke, and given that people use the language you have used to discriminate against homosexuals, most normal people take your comments as attacks, and as offenses. You need to learn to watch your language, because not everyone interprets things the same way you do.

@IMAGIMATIONanimation In fact, you started all this, by taking my joke (microsoft gays>apple gays) seriously, and getting really offended by it. I may have nothing better to do than write youtube comments, but it's a very tedious task for me and I have little to no pleasure from replying to your replies to my comments to the nth degree. So, I, being an incredibly generous and pleasant interlocutor, give you the honor to have the last say, if you want, of course.

@stormrage2007 You have a lame sense of humor, because your joke is not compatible with me. Did you even see the apple video? They were regular looking folks who were discussing their experiences, and you call them "hipsters". Perhaps everyone in your nation wears suits and ties, but here in the US, we wear whatever the crap we want. You should not acknowledge your attribution to comedy, because when I said you were hilarious, I said you were hilliarious as in, you were stupid.

@IMAGIMATIONanimation 1. Good for you. 2. What you said makes no sense, what I said was a clever play on the meaning of the word "butthurt" executed brilliantly by yours truly. 3. Clearly you don't know the definition of the word "Hipster". 4. I know I am.

@stormrage2007 By the way, I just checked out your channel. Turns out you have some pretty racist crap in there. I like to refrain from making judgements, but given that you are from israel, I thought history would have taught you the horrors of racism and hatred with the slaughter of 6 million people of your kind, but I guess I was wrong. You turn this situation into a joke, and use anti-gay rhetoric that I hear all to often. Grow up.

@stormrage2007 Uh. . . what kind of moronic comment is that? Do you have to bring your fucking stupid fanboyish biases into a conversation that discusses a subject this serious? apple gays = microsoft gays = america's gays = world's gays. Quit being such a fanboy, especially on this video. That is disgusting.

@deanseawa Every organization inevitably has some bad apples, even one that tries not to. Sometimes you can't tell until it's too late. It sucks that your manager did that, no question, and you bore no responsibility for it. However, nervous or not, you should have talked to HR. As it is, you only left a paper trail, in a private place, and now that manager remains to menace others. That, I'm afraid, is your responsibility. You can still go back and file a complaint, you know.

@cryptographite - What would have been the point in asking GLEAM for help when I was afraid to even talk with my HR rep. I'd been fired from a job in 1998 literally within a couple days of them finding out I was gay. I had little reason from my 5 years with Microsoft by then that the HR rep wouldn't file for my termination right there in the office. I would love to know that I was wrong, but even after 10 years at MS I saw little to give me confidence in any of my management team.

See, you can be queer AND nerd! And certainly, your adult life will get better when you're both! Kudos to Microsoft! This is a very bold statement for a giant global company to take a stand on social issues when its customer base encompasses people from all ranges of age/income/religion/cultural backgrounds/political believes. Little late, but there will be never enough positive stories to share :)

So, I happened upon the Microsoft 'It gets Better' video and I am terribly disapointed that there was so much marketing and blatant promotion of Microsoft. Its not about Microsoft people, its about the Trevor Project... This company continues to lose my support

Back in 2004, when my boss at Microsoft found out I was gay, he tried to get me fired. Fortunately my boss’s boss found out when I gave him a scathing evaluation in response to his mid-year review and tried to hush it all up; not speaking with me at all about the incident. From that point onward, I've not trusted Microsoft to care in the slightest about gay employees, only their bottom line. Fortunately I am now no longer with Microsoft and plan never to return to that hypocritical environment.
