It is explained in the video but the end of the jet exhaust actually turns downward and a large lift fan blade is under the door behind the pilot.

And that boys and girls is what haunts my dreams. Had the loadtoads on my duty station drop a couple on the flightline. That winter a forklift dropped 6 pallets of live missles as i was walking to my shop 200yds away

Oh dude there so safe the biggest danger is one accidentally squishing you not the explosives. The most dangerous is actually the 70mm hydra rockets.... the AIM-9 L/M& X all have numerous safety ...a physical safe/arm key and it literally has to pull 20g's for 2 seconds to fully arm

You have no idea how safe these really are, could drop one from thousands of feet and as long as they haven't been armed by the aircraft then they ain't exploding. The ones you have to worry about is if a flare mag gets dropped.

I learned to run in Thailand when the load crews dropped 750 pounders, grass cutters, and armed 2000 pounders. Life was interesting on that flightline. Tdy to Udorn and Ubon, 72, 73.
