I feel these comments! I parked on a pile of crappie last weekend and I threw the kitchen sink before I figured out what they wanted. Profile was the biggest factor and color was secondary. I threw a slew of colors and different sizes, some with a snap swivel and some without but what I found worked best was a smaller profile jig that was a pinkish white pearl on a snap swivel. They’d hit that for a bit, them quit. I’d change to a bluish white pearl and black back and the bite would pick up for a bit then it would shut off. I figured out bouncing back and forth between the light pink and light blue continued to catch fish

I think it’s wild that up here in Nebraska our record flathead has been 80 pound since the 80’s and was just broken with a 90 couple years ago yet the record further south in warmer water is much lower

Correct, Rocky is the current NC record holder. Zakk is the former 2X NC state record holder, no mention of him being the “ current record holder”

An old woman who always knew where to find catfish studied birds and said it would teach you about fish because they are similar since God made them on the same day. I have found she was correct Genesis 1:20 - And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. 21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
