I had to work the night of the Notre Dame OSU game, so I was only able to check the score occasionally. Couldn't imagine seeing it in person.

Even as a Buckeye fan I have to say this game was frustrating, regardless of the outcome! I've never seen such ineptness and a decline in physicality in a team, most especially on the offensive line! How Justin Frye still has a job is beyond me. ND left the left side wide open on the last play and Chip Traynum the Buckeye ball carrier STILL BARELY got in the endzone. All ND had to do was cover and it's over. It was the weak spot the entire year.

The difference in the programs is Ohio State is the biggest game on everyone’s schedule. Notre Dame is certainly not the biggest game on the top teams schedule, such as Alabama, Oklahoma, Michigan and especially Ohio State. Great program but certainly not an elite program for over 40 years.

Uconn women's Basketball team plays to clean they allowed Noter Dame to bully them and cheap shot them. They should have taken the legs out from underneath Miles from ND, she's a dirty player , let her drive and take her legs out so she lands on her head.

Georgia practically sold the place out on the road. Notre Dame fans are just kinda old and kinda stiff. Top school, top alumni network, but the place just feels a bit dead. Feels like the school from “Dead Poets Society” on Saturday afternoon. My gamecocks piece together 6 or 7 wins on a good year and the place is jumping no matter the opponent. Can this be fixed ? Or is this simply who nd is to some extent ?

I went to a game once, and never seen anyone standing only sitting and very quite. I was extremely disappointed.

Kinda depends on the game and where your seats are. Students stand through the whole game. But in general, you're right... fans are lower key than elsewhere. In my case, we have an open view right in front of us, so there's no reason to stand (for viewing) even when the people in front of us are standing. For the record, we were at a Notre Dame vs UCONN women's basketball game once, and my wife and I were asked to sit down by the ushers because people behind us complained. When I turned around to see who complained, it was Digger Phelps.
