I was there two weeks ago. All good, snow is great and they're getting another six inches about every third day. Kind of like a natural zamobi. Much better conditions than video, and those aren't bad. I'm going out again on March 18. Was a little windy, but use a baclava, goggles, and some glove inserts, and skiing is fun again.

actually, this first clip is not blue sky basin, you are on Timber Line cat walk and I assume you drop into Northwoods after the video changes. Small detail, but I thought you may want to know.

I was wondering where blue sky basin was in this video. I think the photographer saw that sign "to Blue Sky Basin" and didn't realize it's two miles and a couple of lifts away, but in front of him, looking at it from China bowl.

It's variable depending on the amount of snow Colorado gets every season. However, Feb-March time frame is usually a good time to come. Vail is one of the biggest resorts in Colorado and in the US and would definitely recommend it for the back bowls.

Thanks. I have learned more about the area and did not realize that "Vail" was one big ski mountain. What day was this taken on? I would like to go on January or February 2014. January 6, 2013 it was -15 at night. A little too cold for me. I'd like it at about 18-25 in the daytime. What is a good month period for that? I don't want to pay thousands to come out there and get frostbitten or get blizzard conditions. When it snows there is it windy, white out/blizzard conditions or pleasant snow?

we were on Grays yesterday and the people behind us glissaded down the same way. They were actually further behind us after we hiked down. Your way was probably more fun though.
