My daddy loved this song and I made sure we played it at his celebration of life. Wasn't a dry eye in the church. I know that he is up there with Mama in the best of hands ever!

Во-первых, великое спасибо мистеру Джону Фогерти. Когда я впервые услышал эту песню в 1971 году в альбоме "Pendulum", я просто обалдел. Мы с ребятами её выучили и играли везде, и в школах, где играли, и дома, для своего удовольствия. Великая песня... А Мистер Вилли Нельсон - великий исполнитель... И на мой взгляд, у них много общего с мистером Джоном Фогерти, с точки зрения музыкального искусства. Люблю слушать их обоих... И дай бог им здоровья, а они нас обрадуют...

I love you, Kinky, but dammit, you’re making me cry. I’m one of the countless unknown people you have moved deeply, and you’re still doing it. But you know what? Each one of us countless people you have uplifted with your gifts counts. On days when you might not be feeling so great, I hope something will remind you that you are loved in a way that can’t be measured. And that is just me. I reckon there are millions of us. hey Kinky it`s Dark Cloud from Toronto...i met you at Hughe`s Room a few years back...i wanted to play yuh a few special tunes hoping you might like etc plus i gave you a very special gift....i wonder if you still have/had it....when we spoke on the phone last after your tour was done you mentioned that you still had it....i`m shocked to hear of your passing buddy and that you were cremated vs buried only because of your religious background etc etc....i wrote a song a while back mentioning you and Bob....i can keep on goin but i think i`ll stop now Kink....i wish you good tidings and all the best in heaven and i hope you can play and write and sing your heart out where your at with past family members and friends and fellow music pesonalities like Prine and Lightfoot and Cash etc etc.....luv yuh buddy...and i`ll say prayers for you....dark cloud songwriter....Toronto...
