It's 2024 and I really wish I could've seen Jak Knight have one hour-long Netflix special. We need this perspective to be mainstream.

I learned about Mr. Knight today and I felt a pain in my chest to read he died by suicide. I wish he could have known that all he needed was more time. Perhaps it would have gotten better, perhaps the answer that would help to relieve whatever he was going through would have materialized. I wish he could have held on a bit longer. But that's not what happened. I'm sorry, even though I had nothing to do with what happened. I'm sorry because I can relate. I'm still here and my wish is that you could be, too.

Unbelievable loss to stand-up comedy. So funny, charismatic, with very natural stage presence. He was very much in his own league of rising comedians. It’s a shame he never got a full special, but of the dozens and dozens of hours of stand-up I’ve watched, this 30 minute set is something I’d easily categorize as one of the best. Rest in peace, Jak. The style you brought to the stage is something I’ll never forget.
