Yes their responding alright late for their tea brake. My mate used to be a copper, and most of the time, they would put the flashing lights on and horn, just to get them through the traffic wicker, not because they had an emergency call. To attend.

A lot of these seem to be only turning the lights on briefly when they come past you. Are they doing it for your benefit? I assume you’re there quite often and the officers recognise you each time?

Yes, some of these are put on for us as the officers know that's what we are after. We call it a blue light demonstration and most GMP officers will often put the lights on for us👍🏻

When the blue lights are on the siren activates the siren. One press turns it on, subsequent presses cycle through the siren tones and then a double press turns it off.
