everybody is entitled to there own opinion. yes jamaika's game is good and his technique is damn near flawless but he doesn't teach... he shows. i failed my last exam because i did not know the names of the moves. also being able to understand his accent is a little hard almost as bad as loka-ese

I'm sorry to hear that. Jamaika has taught me a lot more than fighting. He knows the fight well, but he lives and breathes every aspect of capoeira. Although I have not loved every teacher's style, I still have respect for them, and for the game. Mestrando Jamaika is great capoerista, a great teacher, and a friend. Please don't disrespect that which you don't agree with.

all jamaika has taught me is fighting in the advanced class and that is why i am no longer with them... yes Capoeira is a martial art but fighting is not my game anymore. other than aagarrado and his wife i am the longest playing student in utah

WTF? Sadly?? Who is this? Furacao is an amazing capoeirista, but if you are complaining about training under mestrando jamaika you are missing the big picture, not to mention your prejudice greatly hinders your growth. Mestrando Jamaika is an amazing teacher with encredible experience and knowledge. Everyone who trains under him is lucky, it's a shame you can't see that. Capoeira goes on, no matter the change of the tides.
