Oops buddy I have an F15 however it is the HP 6s version. I want to buy a new EDF 4068 kv1850 8s engine. My ESC is 130A, can it handle the new 8s motor? The product description of the 8s says that the working current is between 120 and 125A.

Good morning BEMAC Studio's. Your video is really cool. The sound of your F16 is very realistic with turbine. I want to ask you a question. Did you install the EDF 110mm on your F16 without any changes to make the sound realistic? Or changed the EDF 110mm? I have the BH viper and I need to buy the EDF. I ask you: What engine are you using? I have the B.H. VIPER, and I'm thinking of installing Jetfan 120mm 590kv or 110mm, and using 14s. What is your opinion, which one do I install? I thank you for your attention.

No, he did not have to change anything for that sound. It sounds like that. Typically, the more blades you have, the more it sounds like a turbine. You can hear the difference between an EDF with 9 blades vs. the same EDF with a 12 blade. My understanding is that the more blades you have, the more power it will draw. I could be wrong. Anyone can correct me if they like.

Beautiful bird man ! I have the same one and repainted it to match the scheme of Thomas Blackburn (his early birdcage version) and I absolutely love how it flies ! One word of warning : check the elevator servo where it is mounted to the tray . Mine came just loose enough to move making trimming the elevator VERY interesting . Had a bit of a time getting her back to the ground in one piece and very sweaty palms after she landed lol ! I tightened the mounting screws and added a bit of ca . Thanks for sharing this video !

Great to see you guys back on You Tube! Hope you got the wing waggle sorted. Its odd that this flies so differently to the first L-39 you had. I fly with the cannon pod on and it doesn't affect stability at all. Perhaps the gyro is the culprit? Mine is set up with a Spektrum AR7350 and flies really well with no wing waggle or oscillation with reasonably low gyro settings of roll 25%, pitch 25%, yaw 30%. These are matched to mild aileron and elevator rates of 80% and 72%, so not particularly high either. I had long take off runs from grass too, but this improved a lot when I moved the cg back to 110mm.
@supbaby862 жыл бұрын
Hey Michael thanks for watching and picking up on that yeh I'm not sure what the reason for that is yet, like you say the first one was on rails, as far as I can tell I have the gyro completely deactivated so I don't think that's the case but I'm not 100% sure either. It was a little bit of a rushed setup to get it out that day and maiden it so I do plan on spending a good amount of time going over it with a fine tooth comb and hopefully sort it, I did remove the cannon and didn't make a difference, being that I do plan on this being my fpv jet I really want it locked in for that. Really want to get it out again and see if it was conditions on the day or a problem with the jet/receiver BTW I'm running a frsky S8R but I still have my trusty dx9 if I need to switch back to spektrum for a test. Thanks again mate 👍

Beautiful bird, awesome flight and landing. I've always had interest in the F104 since childhood, I'm 59 now. My first introduction to the F104 came from a large poster my father gave me when I was about 9 or 10. My father was in the Airforce stationed at Edwards AFB in California near the Mohave desert and was the crew chief for the F104. He told me many horror stories about the F104 and the one story that made the most impact on me was the time he had to pull a pilot from a burning cockpit as the aircraft crashed on landing due to engine failure from FOD that entered intake as the pilot flew through a sand storm. I didn't hear the term "widow maker" until years later as my father always referred the F104 as a "flying stick, with a jet engine" One of my uncles also worked on the F104 and a flight control mechanic and told me that it was a nightmare of wires and electrical tape. Later on my father and uncle both ended up working at McDonnell's aircraft in Long Beach California which I believe was bought out by Boeing. Then before retiring my father worked for a private aircraft company Stuart and Grey also in Long Beach as a aircraft mechanic. One day he came home and gave me a piston from a Rolls Royce engine from John Travolta's personal DC10. The F104 poster and RR piston are now just a memory but the passion of airplanes is still alive in me and I have been flying model aircraft for the past 35 or so years. I've even had the opportunity to fly full scale, twice with a friend of mine that's a commercial pilot for AA, and other time a few years back when my daughter and I went on a rental flight with a flight instructor here in Destin Florida. The pilot exclaimed after the flight that he could have just stayed home as I was almost in control of the airplane the entire flight including take off and the landing. I seemed to have missed my calling, as I'm now a HVACR technician but never employed as a pilot. Oh well, that's life.

Great flight! I have over 100 flights on my Version one. I would recommend the following for grass ops. Wrap the front shock strut with two winds of duct tape. This hardens the front strut just enough. I also like flying with 6S 3300mAh batteries in this model. Same flight time and better handling. I also remove the front spike just in case the nose does come down on a landing. That causes a lot of damage when it does.
