That's correct - I use a macro which activates the timer when I use my relic super. You can get the macro from solo raids discord server guide - I've added the link to the guide in video description.

I don't know man. There's no reason to give this guy the same amount of HP as a boss, and force us to face him right after we got out of that really arduous tower climb, with no checkpoint in sight....I know it's a soulslike and soulslikes are supposed to test you, but come on. That's just deliberate f**kery!....Climbing the tower alone is quite the challenge, any wrong move and you're dead, and gotta do it all over again and again and again - so I deserve to have my checkpoint, I've earned it!...I hate it when developers don't respect my time and effort!

There’s a lever for a shortcut near the top which reverses the lift so you can ride the lift up from the very bottom and bypass everything else

agreed on the hp being too high for a mini boss this early in the game. I've seen a lot of players making this fight harder for themself by missing the shortcut. Once you get the shortcut, it's not that bad.
