I don't know who Could look at this and not Cry, I am crying like a baby right now. I lost my Dad when I was 12, now 63 And I would have given anything to have had a chance to say goodbye to him and tell him how much I Loved him. He died of Cancer at the age of 37, very young, I am the youngest daughter, I have 2 brothers and a Sister. He died in the hospital, and so I never got to say goodbye.. Of course I told him I loved him before he was diagnosed with Cancer, but never got to tell him before he passed on. I am sure he knew. But I wish I could have said that last goodbye to him and that I Loved him. At the time of this song, His Dad was dying but a distant Cousin came forward and gave James Dad a Kidney, and he survived, I am so Happy for James and his Dad that he got a Kidney and Lived. But at the time James sang this song to his Dad, they didn't know that.
