Thanks for the inspiration. :) I've recently started "sparring" with my 7yo where he tries to punch me in the stomach and I try to get him of balance with (super light) jabs and sweeps. We talk a lot about the rules (specifically if he feels something is unsafe I won't do it). He wants to do it during every break from the screen, and I get a workout too. It's so much fun! His balance have improved so much too, now it's hard to get him off balance without using force, which forces me to improve my technique. :)

Awesome. My son, turns 6 next month. Really likes boxing but I'm not trained and I'd like to show him a little something before he's old enough to join a class nearby.

This one makes me a little sad. It's clear the old fella is excited to learn, but he just didn't understand how to respectfully initiate it. He has this ball busting aura that would be welcomed amongst friends but just wandered into this gym without respect. He learned fast and was willing to listen as you had him on his knees and he, exhausted, regretted his decisions. Then the coach keeps coaxing him, and I dont believe he is out of his rights here. It's a lesson that need to be learned. But it's sad.

That's the worse place to pick a fight, especially if you don't know, what the hell you're doing.

Hope this never happens to me cuz I'm injured but I'd do the same maybe worse idk hope never

2024 and still come back to watch this video! My son is a boxer and some just don't get it that boxing is a discipline! It is an art form! Kudos to this coach as he could have damaged this dude bad!! Dude now realizes how hard a trained puncher can hit!!

Try to throw instantly and don’t give your opponent any signs of a punch, otherwise they will defend or counter. Otherwise, good work to both of you I enjoyed watching this.
