You have got me wanting to do the same to my Krait. Are you keeping your barrel length the same for .22 FAC Russ? What sort of power will they do at your current length? Thanks for sharing!
@RussDouglas2222 күн бұрын
I think if I go down the .22" FAC route with the Krait I'll want to keep it compact for sure. I'm sure with Chris' know-how it could be tuned to whatever power level's reasonable (25-30ft/lb), though obviously a compact barrel would use more air to acheive FAC levels, and could be relatively louder. I watch several threads on the AGF (UK airgun forum, a main thread here already has 3,153 comments over 158 pages: airgunforums.co.uk/threads/arken-zulus-user-experiences.71841/), where few errors are reported, and generally Zulus users report great customer service from Arken, including things like replacing lost rubber eyecups or plastic lens caps. Well the 312R is aimed more for UK sub-12 airgun use, and for that (and up to FAC air ranges), the LED is enough. Hi from Northern Ireland, I really enjoyed your review. I own an FAC Crown Mark II 700mm Sniper. I am looking for a shorter pest control firearm. I use a Saber Tac bottle clamp with OK results. Firstly, as to your sling problem. I use a sling attachment on the rail, perhaps you could fit one there. You probably would get away with a single point sling mounted to the rear or your Dreamline because it has such a small footprint. Another IDF hack is to mount the sling to the scope ring and scope rail with paracord. This cuts down on rattling. Lastly, try some JSB 18.5 gr pellets, my Crown loves them and impacts pellet upon pellet out to 40 m. A FAC gun loves a heavier pellet. At 50 m I am getting great results with Zan 23 gr slugs and Fx hybrid 22 gr slugs. I ordered a sample pack of Zan 25 gr slugs from i Hunter, but they are taking so long to arrive l think that they are melting the lead off of a Church roof and making them themselves. Regarding the ThermNight, will there be any change to the battery compartment, or more to the point the 'fiddly' screw in cap as on the 520R?

I've asked the question but no, they're sticking with the 18650 batter. NV guru Bruce has tested the other prototype TNC225R and it has very low power drain, so that bodes well. The UK AGF forum thread for the TNC225R is here: airgunforums.co.uk/threads/arken-optics-brand-new-multi-spectral-riflescope.81978/ Thanks for watching, please share to spread the word - affordable multi-spectral scope is on the way. 🤓 Cheers.
