Just Curious! How did 1513 Ministries get it's name Please? I happen to know there are often "some" Interesting Stories behind this type of question.
@1513Ministries Жыл бұрын
Great question and as you say, there's always a "story" behind these things. Primarily, this relates to John 15:13 "No greater Love hath a man than to lay down his life for his friends" - A central tenant of our ministry is simply that ... that we lay down what we want to do, where we want to go, what we want to say, and yield ourselves to do all things for the sake of the Lord and His people. Like many, we don't always achieve that as purely as we should, but that's always been and especially heavy mandate on our hearts.

Excellent Sermon! What Denomination is 1511 Ministries.please? Is/are there any Denomination(s) which Preach / Teach Calminianism please? If there is, may I ask which Church Denomination(s) please? I live in Northeast Middle Tennessee and I cannot find a Calminian Church in my area. Most people in my area have no idea what Calminianism is. The Low or Moderate Cal"V"inistic Preaching/Teaching of the Missionary Baptist Church is probably the closest that I can find.

We are non-denominational and are located in SouthEastern KY. Like you, we've found there are relatively few who accept the fusion that represents "Calminianism" . In SE KY, we typically have 4 or 5 point traditional "Calvinists" or as they are affectionately called in these parts "hard-shell baptists" or those who are more staunchly Armenian "purists" . If you'd like to have more direct or ongoing conversations about this subject, just let me know and we can direct message, Facebook message, or traditional phone call. If we can be of service in any other way, just let me know. Thanks!

@@tkdky-- THANK YOU for the valuable information. FWIW, I used to work for Mountain Ridge Drilling Co in Barbourville, KY as a Drill Rig Operator. Are you close to Barbourville? I hired on with them when they were drilling some Oil & Gas Wells in East TN before we took the Rig & Equipment back to KY. I Loved the work but I got to be physically unable to do that physically demanding work due to Spinal Stenosis causing Compression of my Spinal Cord & Claudia Equina in the Lumbar Region. Unfortunately a Christian is burdened with hearing an excessive amount of inappropriate language around Drilling Rigs. I "assume" GOD may have used my affliction with Spinal Stenosis as a means for me leaving the Oilfield similar to GOD using Apostle Paul's "Thorn in his side." I think that is why GOD wanted these verses to be included in the Scriptures; they enhance verses that allude to bad things occuring in our lives and GOD using them for our good. Also, FWIW, my deceased Grandmother was a "Hardshell" or Primitive Baptist Church member but I can't recall this Church being in or near our home county but I have visited Primitive Baptist Churches in more distant Counties. Please correct me if I am wrong but aren't Primitive Baptists and the Reformed Baptists two "separate" Denominations? Some say the Primitive Baptists evolved into the Reformed Baptists by just changing the name but I don't think so. The female Primitive Baptists sit on the left side of the Church isle separate from the males and the females are required to wear head veils (like the Mennonites). The Primitive Baptists "attempt" to deny John Calvin (call it what it is) BUT the Reformed Baptists are Proud of John Calvin and Calvinism. I have visited a particular Reformed Baptist Church several times in Nashville, TN in the very early 2000s. I didn't feel like I had been Churched! JESUS CHRIST's name was rarely ever mentioned (How can someone leave JESUS CHRIST out when it is all about HIM to begin with?). It mainly consisted of group discussions of how GOD The FATHER showed his Sovereignty by destroying people, Preordaining a young girl's rape & murder for GOD's Own Glory, etc. I am Sorry but I do NOT see how creates Glory. Sorry for being so long winded. My MAIN QUESTION is "What are some Proof Texts of the Bible that proves Calminianism?". I feel like it is Biblical in my heart BUT I do know how to Prove it.

@@brucewinningham4959 Yes, we are not too far outside of Barbourville. I will try to look up the notes that I had for this multi-part series on “Calmenianism” and get them to you. Like you, if I find myself in places where the name of Jesus is rarely or at all mentioned then I know I’m in “enemy territory” - a place where “evil men have crept in unawares”!

@@tkdky -- THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I will & do appreciate any information that is available on Calminianism. While it is NOT very prone to happen in my lifetime for I will be 68 years old in a couple of months BUT I would Love to see the day when the Reconciliation of Calvinism & Arminianism is widely accepted RATHER than one Soteriological Group calling the other a "Heretic, Blasphemer, etc." and visa versa. This is no way for Christians to behave. It is a turn-off for he that is a Babe in CHRIST. People ask "Why is Church membership so low and is dropping off even further?" My answer to that is "Oftentimes it is the Christian himself that runs off potentially New Church Members!" I hunger for information on Calminianism.

I particularly love this video because I consider myself a Calminian which tends to reconcile Calvinism and Arminianism together. Is it possible that GOD may have used Calminianism in the early days of the Church to give it a "jump-start?" I usually don't admit being a Calminian to many people for fear people would ridicule me as a heretic. What is your name please? Were you the Gentleman giving the Sermon? Where is 1513 Ministries located at please? May GOD Bless, Bruce Winningham
