This song came out just as I finished sixth form and went to university. This song was played a lot on the radio during that time and looking back on it, this song encompassed that bittersweet period of my life. I parted ways with my best-friends from school and went off to university not knowing anyone. Initially I was nervous but also optimistic about uni because it was a new chapter of my life beginning. However it didn't go so well as I struggled to make meaningful friendships (I felt like everyone I met were acquaintances rather than friends) and it was a very sad and lonely time of my life. There was some great moments but most of the time I was feeling very sad and hopeless. Hearing this song again brought back all those memories from that time. I really do miss my friends from school and I cherish all the memories I have of them :) I haven't seen them or spoken to them in years :(

You know, this feels like an alarm warning that something is coming, but nothing can be done, just accept that the end is imminent, all that remains is a simple tune that tries to sound more relaxed.

I used to listen to this on repeat when I would walk to my girlfriend’s house. 15 years later, she’s my wife and we have kids.

First time listening through this album. Its good, but it doesnt stand out to me like Neon Bible. I hope it will grow on me. I got Neon Bible about 20 years ago and its an incredible album that i come back to every so often over the years, its all i really know of AF aside from The Suburbs single. After listening through it on a long walk today, i decided to check out more of the catalog.

videos like this promote stealing children in schools and mutilating their genitalia to promote an evil agenda not based in reality or science. I'm glad the world is beginning to wake up to this. The people who know there are only two genders, "we exist". In the beginning he created them male and female. Stop the bigotry of the left.

Me and my friend used to sneak out and wander the streets at night when we were teenagers. It's unbelievable how accurately this song captures that feeling.
