Still listening in 2024. Beats music from current top 10 lists. Hard to believe this was from 1981.

The Comsats were an excelent band who deserved far more success than they had. It's a great pitty that massively inferior bands made millions out of twee pop, when brilliant music, like this, went ignored by the mainstreem.

'Sleep No More' is one of the greatest albums of the 1980s...its up there with 'Purple Rain' and 'The Joshua Tree'.....

Ambiento555, you chose good. What would you rather be caught in, Leponti? A cool Volkswagen golf convertible and a shitty Sony deck or a shitty Cordoba and a cool Alpine player!! Like I said, Ambiento555, you chose good---like picking the town slut over the unapproachable Prom Queen. My commuter car is a 1999 Miata with an Alpine ida X001 & Ipod. Of course, I rarely play music in it---the damn supercharger drowns everything out---that and my female passengers streaming as I take corners at 1G!

I remember playing this song driving through the little tunnel in Saucalito (sic) at night and the ground fog started kicking up. My date Pam kept whinning "What is that SHIT you are playing? Its starting to creep me out. It's not happy music that you can dance to. It's like the kind of music you put a loaded revolver in your mouth and pull the trigger. I said 'Oh, you like Post Punk?!!! She then forced me to choose: Post Punk or Pussy!!! Post Punk or Pussy!!! People, I chose W-R-O-N-G!!!

hey mate, I always think that some songs are made for journeys with the car around the town... and the street lights make the perfect image to "dress" them! your video is great, especially at the part when you leave the town haha... its so dark and melancholic

The reason the snare and all the drums sound so incredible on this album was that the recording technicians lowered Glaisher's kit down into a lift and recorded them down in that atmosphere-----brilliant.

Always loved this song, from their best album in my opinion.. released in 1981 which is unbelievable when you listen to it, doesn't sound a bit dated.
