The primary thing to consider regarding the 'Voice' is that for Marxists (including 'Voice' activists), the issue is never the issue. The issue is always the Revolution! The 'Voice' is merely the first step in a radical politics of maneuver to impose inequitable power on the electorate and obtain money from the taxpayer. Power that, in Marxist tradition, will do nothing for 'the gap'. The second thing is that Aborigines *are* recognized in the constitution: they are citizens and participate equally in the blind-to-ethnicity life of Australia. Clarification: the Voice is to the executive government along with parliament. From the Govt. website: Australia's Head of State is the King of Australia, His Majesty King Charles III. Under the Australian Constitution, executive power is exercised by the Governor‑General as the King's representative. The Governor-General is appointed by the King on the advice of the Prime Minister of Australia. The Prime Minister is Head of Government. The Voice will be able to give advice to the 'executive', the 'doing' arm of government: this ends up being the public service as a whole and bypassing parliament and public scrutiny. BTW, I like the idea of a Friday evening gathering. Nice way to end the working week and have some time together; I guess a cuppa and light snacks afterwards for informal encouragement.

Most tribes were land-locked, bounded on all sides by other tribes, kept in situ, so the story goes, for 60,000. They were isolated from the whole world by each others' laws. There's something deeply spiritual about that.
@dagwould Жыл бұрын
Deeply 'spiritual'? What does that mean? Animism? They were isolated from the whole world by distance!

@@dagwould What I mean 'committed in every attitude, activity, culture and language.' It still is for some. And others trade on it while not being deeply spiritual at all because it gets them recognition and power.

The Bible should be the primary thing that is taught from any pulpit. But praise God, we have educated and gifted people to speak on other important issues.

I want to use this platform to express my deepest condolences to his family and friends. I was introduced to him in the context of his profession and I know it would be a loss for our industry as well to lose an articulated professional like Delor. RIP my friend - Manuel from Eco Certificates.

Encouraging sermon. So, Paul's strategy is love. "For you brethren, have been called to liberty, only do not use your liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another." Gal. 5:13. Use your liberty to love by serving. That's what Paul says, "For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more."1Cor.9:19. This is true love. O, may the Lord Jesus grant us to use our freedom to become the servants of all, that we might by all means save some.
