Do the Police have a description of the two people who were seen outside his door?
@uktruecrime4 ай бұрын
Probably, but they don't seem to published it. But after 23 years the descriptions are probably not much use in the direct sense. Dont seem to have been any appeals since 2001 either, although I imagine they have looked into, I think they are aware of all the brownie points cracking cold cases gets them.

I knew Nighta and his family. Lovely bloke. It's common knowledge that he was a bouncer and had clashed with the drugdealers at the club. He wasn't a criminal or part of a gang. It's also common knowledge that the people who dropped him off knew more than they were saying. I hope the truth comes out one day for his Wife and Kids' sakes, who were all absolutely destroyed by his death, but I doubt it ever will. A tragic loss of a lovely man.

I was living nearby in Tinto Rd. Newham when this happened, there was serious tension around that pub at the time, we were told to stay clear of the place in the weeks leading up to the murder. The lad who warned us came round that night and told us the guy had gone in to kill the landlord but they were expecting the hit so the guy was attacked and started shooting wildly, they got his gun and shot him, then someone picked up a big fire extinguisher and smashed his head to pieces, when they threw his body on the pavement there was claret everywhere, you could still see the stains days later. Not one person in the manor spoke about it after that night!

I assume you are reffering to 'Lillechurch Road ', at a guess. In fact, I was using the original French idomatic inflection of the term as it would be in the traditional Germanic sense. Presumably your inferring the locals, whose langauge skills are often lacking, don't raise the second past particible in the base conjugation, thus resulting in a pronounciation familiar to locals, but otheriwse completely wrong accademically? Either that or I actually live on the moon and have no understanding of the correct pronounciations of Barking, Dagenham or Plaistow?

Have you any more information on Bill's murder? We were only ever contacted by the police once and heard no more. I'm still collecting information about other crimes, and the people involved, that may be linked.
@uktruecrime7 ай бұрын
No, nothing other than what is in the online news sites. Sounds like a case that could be reviewed for DNA and fingerprints etc. 34 years ago would mean the people involved would be 50s to 60s and the person that called in 2002 similarly older. Maybe you could ask the police whether they have reviewed it or talk to the newspapers. When it happens in a room there is far more scope for evidence than say a street crime so theres probably plenty that could be looked at. They must have had some leads if they went overseas. Also, must have been someone that knew he had money which would narrow it down quite a lot. I imagine the police reports have strong suspicion but no evidence. Hope that helps.

Burglars MO you would think would be to get in and out of a property as quickly and silently as possible ! But to Slaughter the homeowner while in bed ( and no threat ) With so much Overkill goes way beyond theft ! almost as if it was some type of an Assassination ! and or some type of message possibily ! from everything ive read about the crime ( Which is everything in the Public Domain) 2 red flags kept popping up to me ? but as their is a living family member of the victim who had the Courtesy to introduce themselves ( and i am so sorry for you loss and ive heard he was a true gentleman❤🙏) so i have to state catergorically this is only my Opinion im expressing here ! with my comment ! so i hope im not offending anybody ! I have since figured out that The Podium had been at the other end of Nine Elms Lane, nearer to where I started, about here, behind the left traffic light, kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6SYZqaKp6yZhc0si=PVHjfllo3kjCZiop&t=44 essentially at the eastern end of the road where it turns. There have been two new developments on that spot since the murder. Still yet to find any images of the Podium.
