Oh how I hated picking (harvesting) okra as a young boy. So itchy on my arms until my papa told me the trick about wearing a long-sleeve flannel shirt.

How do you mix in the topsoil after the 5 days?
@vestaash6808 ай бұрын
I cheat, I smear peanut butter on the plate and the bars to the plate so it sets off even if they just taste it. I had to learn that when I had a baby raccoon that didn’t know how to raccoon yet. Sent him to a rehabber.

Yeah, bud, they need a chicken coop for nesting, nothing big or fancy. You can build it outta scrap wood to...do you have a rooster for your hens that may also be another problem. gotta have those seeders

That’s a blue belly lizard. We have one. His name is gonzo. They get most of their liquid from the bugs they eat. Gonzo especially loves small crickets.

Wow awesome thanks so much for identifying! Are you in Florida? This one was found in central Florida.
@dianajones448410 ай бұрын
No actually I’m in the central valley in California and they are native to our central valley

Does that little one have blue spots on the belly yet? If so, are they light or dark blue?
@RickysWorld669910 ай бұрын
My daughter actually lost it yesterday. I was actually looking forward to raising him he was so well tempered. So I actually don’t remember if it did or not have blue markings he was so tiny . But I do have a question for you are most of them well tempered like that. He never even once opened his mouth to try to bite us and was very mild mannered. Is that normal for the species in your experience?
@dianajones448410 ай бұрын
Yes , they are not at all defensive. They can be very skittish. But if you get them young, they acclimate to humans quite well . They love body warmth. When I was young I can remember literally wearing them on my chest like a broach ! They like habitats with hiding places. Also research warming lamps . You don’t want to get one too hot ( like the ones for bigger lizards ) . Also our boy Gonzo has his tank in front of a mirror . He frequently tries to challenge himself ! 🤣

@terrygulliford5308 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. I followed your lead and mixed Jonathan Green Ultra with peat moss on mid day on a Friday and by mid day on Tuesday I found sprouts as long as a half inch. I should have checked it a little closer. Time will tell if it works for me.

I started my lawn today from pure sand dirt...my 5 year old and I moved off the grid to the Mojave Desert 2 years ago to hide from Covid 19 in my Greyhound Bus I converted to a RV..... I sectioned off a 40' x 20' square to grow the grass for my 5 year to play outside....I found an old tree that was dying there was a ton of rich compost under it I got my Truck and scooped a bunch inside the bed and brought it to my campsite, I mixed fertilizer (old school cow manure) and the clay sand dirt thats already here with the compost from the tree......put it down watered the heck out of it... the next day I drove 40 miles to hardware store and rented a hefty Gas powered very heavy industrial Rototiller ( the dirt here is clay and very hard when dry... very soft when wet its so strange ) bought some top soil called Topper...I then rototilled it into the rest of the stuff already put down and wow !!! this desert clay looks so dark and Rich now! it looks like you could grow ANYTHING in this soil now...seeded it with a Bunch of seeds I mixed ( hope I didn't mess up) and added top soil over it with the Compost spreader I got for $20 at the hardware store... I see on line those spreaders are $300 to $400 dollars, I have to go thank them for selling it to me so cheap..(no body has grass around here ! thats probably why ) we have crows here they are very smart in fact the second most smartest creatures on earth....so I got some helium balloons and cut into pieces and tied on sticks, its reflective , an old timer told me that would keep the crows from grubbing on the seeds...its been 105 F everyday for a month so I hope the grass grows I noticed the compost keep the soil very moist under the surface ! ... I'm so excited to see what happens ...I'ma stay in my chair with the water hose in my hand and a ice cold drink next to me three times a day, .... hopefully the baby will be playing and ill be practicing my putting on the green lol ......pray for me ill keep you posted.

My stomach was so achy after eating a family size bag of Ms Vickeys regular chips and a whole jar of onion dip. The long drawn out farts are starting to hurt and they could split atoms. Not to mention the smells is just awful, like that Reek kind of stench that lingers and has mass to it. Its not good.

So for the 5-6 days no water ? Then once on lawn its watered every day?
@RickysWorld66992 жыл бұрын
Hello. Yes once you water the seeds inside of your wheelbarrow or a bucket let sit for 4 to 5 days. Once seeds are sprouting then its time to mix with top soil or a soil mixture and spread onto your lawn and water everyday for at least a month. But do not overwater as if you overwater you can drowned out your new grass.
