The thought of hell being an "annihilation" and not an eternal punishment sounds to me like a type of doctrine that comforts people into remaining in sin . Its like saying well i guess hell isnt as bad if its just an annihilation which might make people less fearfull of not fully seeking jesus christ . There are many people who have seen the horrors of hell after a near death experience and according to their testimony, these souls are in constant torment..

irrespective of what if anythin hell is what kind of entity would create such a place. In a christian context it condemns billions of people who by no fault of their own have never, or could never have heard of jesus. there are some who say that it's people who send themselves to hell. well the moral implication of that is extremely flawed

We should never willfully speak things we know to be false simply for the acceptance of others. If an obviously trans person introduces themselves as Tina, or Scarlet, or Blake, or Greg, I will refer to them by their chosen name. That is no difference to me than someone saying, “Actually, Matthew is my full name but I go by Matt.” I’m more than willing to be respectful and accommodating. However, that doesn’t mean that I have to agree with their ideologically-driven delusion that there are 147 different genders, that human beings aren’t a sexually dimorphic species, or that sex and gender aren’t linked at all. I have two transgender friends. One is a close friend (and is also a Christian). The other is the child of a friend. There is no way I would misgender or deadname them. It’s a matter of respecting them as a person and as a friend. I’ve had long talks with my close friend, so she knows my thoughts. So refusing to use her preferred pronouns isn’t going to achieve anything except to signal hate. If your “Christianity” leads you to wilfully misgender people then you need to find a better Christianity.

This is the biblical meaning of “death” which is the wage of sin. You are forever separated from your Creator and His Love. No life. No conscience. The punishment is eternal, not the punishing. That is biblical.

I had a testimonial from a Notorious Gang leader who turned to Christ, he had since passed away. He was shown by Christ Jesus that annihilation is real and we indeed do not suffer eternal torment just as you suggest, our God is a loving father. However, it does not mean it will be an easy way out as the torment will still be long and painful depending how bad your sins were on Earth. I will suggest people to not fear death but fear God. There is a everlasting Grace with him in the 3rd Heaven if we follow his commandments and live a Holy life. Eternal torment could be how most Churches try to scare people into becoming Christian. God will not use fear to force people into submission like the devil does. He is a Just God and will give us free will and will not want Eternal suffering for us instead of letting us choose our fate to rather receive Joy or long lasting punishment in hell w/ the devil.
