This is a worrying trend in the Church - attempting to view Hell from our own human perspectives. Yes, it does sound worse than horrible - and it is why many non-believers cannot accept Christianity. But we are not God. He is Holy and just. His Word is without error. Jesus took the cup of suffering so that we don’t have to. The Gospel is good news, but not for those who reject it.

Pastor Mark did a great job explaining the two views concerning the fate of unbelievers. I would have liked to had heard the third view, which is universalism. Could it be possible that unbelievers are going to experience hell, but after a time, be reconciled through Jesus Christ to the Father. Isn't that even more like God's mercy and grace? I don't know. I'm undecided, but open for God's revelation.
