I think this is a wonderful tribute. Everyone was putting their best effort into sounding like the original recording musicians. I think we get so indoctrinated into expressing our own individual style that we don’t learn through imitation, how others achieved their style so we can develop our skills to achieve a better personal sound.

One of the greatest music teachers in my life.I was listening to hard rock when I discovered Mr.Barbieris music.It made me proud to be a Latino.Dont get me wrong I still like hard rock but I like to think that I am smarter musically because of Gatos music. Miss him.

Todo un honor en ser los primeros en redactar nuestro comentario en este homenaje dedicado de un virtuoso a otro virtuoso. Somos dos hermanos de 28 y 32 años de edad que crecimos escuchando música de saxofón (jazz, latin jazz, etc...) inculcada por nuestro padre, cuyo hobby es ejecutar saxofón, nombres como Gato Barbieri, Ed Calle, Grover Washington Jr, Chuck Mangione, Irakere, Paquito D’ Rivera y Arturo Sandoval ocupan nuestra humilde pero selecta colección musical, álbumes como Que Pasa, Caliente (Gato Barbieri), Ed Calle Plays Santana, Sunset Harbor se escuchan cada fin de semana en nuestro hogar mientras cenamos o nos relajamos bebiendo algún whisky, y con este vídeo no fue la excepción, por lo que fue increíble presenciar su homenaje a Gato, ambos de nuestros saxofonistas predilectos.
