@@lofivibes26714 I misread your comment and thought there might be a connection to the etymology of the word "nerd"! I didn't realize it was a channel you were referring to. I've never heard of them, but I'll check them out. We may have gotten the idea from the same source. I think these connections were made by Medium and some other written publications, so we may have just both read the same article :)

The Domesday book has nothing to do with doom or predictions or anything. It's primarily a census for calculating land value.

Many cultures deem it highly inappropriate to offer or accept anything with your left hand. The New Testament of the Bible continually indicates the importance of the right hand and frowns upon the left hand (having sinners, in the sheep and goats parable, sitting on the Left Hand of God). And many religious rites in many different Abrahamic religions require the right hand to be used.
