Kyokushin, Ashihara, enshin; all the same thing, they just focus on Sabaki the further down the umbrella you go. The main reason the different styles exist is due to politics and disagreements on who was to take Mas Oyama's place as the head of the Kyokushin group.

actually yes, i think the same too. And if you have no problem let me tell you that Shotokan is the main karate from which all others branched out. And the Mawashi-geri seemed more like Shotokan than Kyokushin. Its not bad I tell...it's GREAT to have a Shotokan black belt. Even i'm one.

is it really Sempai in Kyokushin? Well leave it, the videos were great and my instructor also taught me how to break bricks. Can you upload a video of brick cracking with head or hand??

Hey Mr R - not offended at all. Thank you for the comment and interaction. I'm sure you are right, but I dont over think it - my Instructor says "Call me Sempai" I dont argue, i say "Osu Semapi" and do as i'm told :-)

Strange.. my japaneese sensei said it´s Senpai. They use the word "Senpai" and in japaneese language there is no "M" unless you find "ma,me,mi.mo,mu"..... (せんぱい, se-n-pa-i)... Maybe the two forms are right because it´s roman-ji... but I prefer the japaneese way: seNpai. Don´t take it as an insult please... nice video and real Budokas. If you get offended by my comment, ignore it.

In Kyokushin it's Sempai.

I think some people see similarities between Kyokushin and Shotokan because Kyokushin was developed from Shotokan and Goju Ryu, with the northern kata of Kyokushin coming from Shotokan and the southern kata from Goju.

It mostly depends on the question : How well is he trained? I mean it does not matter which Martial Art you practice : Muay thai, Taekwondo, Karate, MMA, Kung fu etc. If you're beginner...stay the hell away from that shit. But if you are well trained for example like me. I'm doing Taekwondo Military style ( Fist,Elbow,Knee and Foot) for over 11 years now. It is easy because my chins are tough and I got the technique...so always...Have you trained good? then do it. If not...DO NOT DO IT

dude...it takes 700 POUNDS of pressure to do what she just did. force = mass X exceloration. so that means that if she ways only about 150. then she would have to kick how fast?>?? (and thats assuming she can put all of her weight into her kick.)
@bugvader12 жыл бұрын
ha! try doing this without learning how to kick first...and if u do, i dare you to do it while learning shudokan.

@celicakias It's Shotokan? Really? Damn!!! You'd think after i'd been training at it for 8 years they might have told me!!!! Here i was thinking my black belt was a Kyokushin black belt, and now you tell me i got it wrong and i am actually a SHotokan black belt. Guess i better tell my Sensei, he will be even more surprised than me.

@onf22atnight Sigh. I am but a simple karate-ka. Not a director. Sempai Tara didn't wear shin pads, and for the record I didn't use a "fake bat", or pre cut it, or whatever, . Like the break, don't like it, i dont care, after five years of "you can see her limp" - "its a fake bat" - "TKD is better" - "She is wearing shin pads" is a new one, but i am convinced people have far too much time on their hands.
@celicakias13 жыл бұрын
yo what kyokushin karate ? thats sotokan karate learn you're art first and then write it properly
@Chris_the_golf_guy13 жыл бұрын
So... While i like the breaking, I think she's wearing shin guards. It still hurt like crazy, judging from the slight limp and the way she walks it off, but at :23 as her kicking leg comes forward as she walks around the block you can see the outline on her shin, and also at :24 just before the "cut dissolve" you can see the thickness and bulge of the pad against the black from the side as she walks forward.

@budoshopcomau I'd say anyone can LEARN to do that (unless they are handicapped or something). Without proper training it is very likely to injure yourself/break your bones. Just because everyone is capable of learning something that doesn't mean it's an easy thing to do. Just my opinion though.

@BacheKhala Legacy system from kyukushinkai. Bareknuckles open up people's faces really fast, so it affects training if sparring is done on a daily basis.

@budoshopcomau There are 2 reason why I would NOT attempt to break that bat; I enjoy playin basketball too much but I am also quite fond of just simply walking without a limp. Think about it, youre tryin to break a strong, dense piece of wood with your shin. Not gona happen unless you put the training in (or, might I add, your name is 'Muhammad, Im'ard, Bruce Lee Lol)
@budoshopcomau13 жыл бұрын
@Freestylar Ha ha! I tought about that too, but i reckon (only a guess here) it might be easier. The bat (baseball or cricket) is always going to break at the weakest point, and i reckon the vee where the cricket bat handle joins the bat might just break away - i'm not testing it :-)
