I'm not sure about rev, but other Warframe that generates overguard will do benefit the same way as Rhino as well.

In lvl cap, overguard amount doesnt matter bcus enemies oneshot it away regardless. Even millions of overguard evaporates in seconds. Omamori method is better bcus it effectively cuts the bullets coming your way in half, giving you double the chances to i-frame gate with iron skin, OG gate, and shield gate.

I always say that his 1st augment is bait and there's ZERO argument for this, parasitic armor with it doesn't change anything, it's a noob trap and I am not going to sugarcoat it. One, Iron skin already scales with enemy damage, there's not much point investing on something that will just fell off eventually even if you give the upmost investment, while enemy damage scaling requires 0 investment, not even an augment like ironclad charge and unnecessary investments like huge armor values, shards and even a subsume slot to replace his most important ability, just to get funny numbers? Two, if you genuinely want funny numbers, just stand under a jade light and easy 1million without trying to mod for it, singlehandedly nullify the only proper use of this augment; keep everything that is great about Rhino without actively sabotaging his power and actually make insane use of his "the most synergistic frame with helminth" perk instead of resorting to something like this. Three, this augment is the old corrosive (without shards) of warframe but 100x worse in terms of "where you'd use it", its pointlessly overkill at levels where it doesn't matter much and actively provides nothing when it suddenly matters; you make yourself a useless roar bot meanwhile you can go the just as basic Nourish Rhino build that replace his 1 and actually provide 10x more value to your gameplay. Omamori's 50% negation chance easily outscales ironclad charge in every way, this ability not only doesn't require anything to work but it is also "permanent", works anytime and anywhere regardless of the enemy level; thus, you don't need to worry about it falling off suddenly.

No (for the 1st state that mitigates one hit then goes into a 3s CD); but in exchange, it allows the 50% damage negation chance to be "might as well be permanent active" because the charge won't be consumed when overguard is up.

@@basedlordprime it does in fact mitigate damage, which is the 2nd state of omamori: there's a 50% chance you will not take the hit for all times (damage negation/block), even if overguard is up, let's say now 10 bullets hit you, but with this, you should reduce this to 5 on average.

Probably has to do with Revenants Mesmer skin being charge based like Omamori. Not that I tested it but Omanori's charges may be protected like with rhino but the mesmer skin charges will still deplete on hit as it does not behave like an added Hp bar.

@@benjaminguezen833 Honestly, you can invest into maximum STR and DUR on Revenant, and even then I rarely have to press Mesmer Skin at all, even in EDA. It may be a matter of movement and clear speed too, because you're less likely to get hit if you're mobile or when you annihilate everything before it even gets to you.

@@paulcampbell3208 I don't think that applies in this context. Overkill is good when you do 50 million red damage to a mob that doesn't even have 100k hp. Because it makes you feel super strong. But overkill when it comes to invulnerability is not something you can notice or has impact in the game. Is just planning for failure.

I think I specifically mention the reason why throughout the video and even explain it. Perhaps a more detailed explanation: Overguard is notoriously known for not being able to get any forms of damage reduction. Most overguard frames will eventually reach a point where 0.5s become their saving grace because the gain speed can't keep up with the drain, even If you give them reduction, you are just delaying the inevitable. Iron skin, unlike other overguard, scales with enemy damage. Because your gain speed is always going to be at least equal or way more than drain speed, any forms of damage cut is incredibly valuable, thus top tier for Rhino, because you are capable of getting "damage reduction" on a HP type that cannot benefit from actual damage reduction, and actually make great use of it. The first one is piercing roar, it cuts down enemy damage by 80% like I explained in the video, and now Omamori's 50% damage negation. Yes, survivability is overkill, but unlike piercing roar, this is a passive form of "damage reduction", which means that you can do NOTHING and still benefit from it, despite providing less reduction than piercing roar (2x vs 5x); Rhino barely had survivability issue, or dont even had one, but you can't just dismiss the value that this ability can provide just because Rhino has no problem surviving at the first place. The video title even mention "how much survivability do you want". ***Tldr: any form of "damage reduction" is incredibly good on Rhino because he has an enemy damage scaling survivability tool that cannot benefit from actual DR.***
