I just discovered your channel after you commented and replied to me on sailing the Vagabond Channel. I was watching them a couple years ago and then I don't know how I got unsubscribed and then I forgot about them. Their video about the cruise liners showed up in my recommended viewing tonight. I have to tell you I read a comment somebody made about you complaining about competition on you tube. The way to get viewers is to be making a lot of vids... I know they can be a real pain in the ass to edit and can be time-consuming. I'll give you an example of someone who was getting a lot of subscribers right now.. by that I mean the numbers keep growing.. I was trying to find out about people leaving the postal service and why and his vid about that showed up in my recommended viewing. And it's a 44 year old guy on his 4 acre plot in West Virginia with his tiny little Filipino wife and their little boy. It's just a nice decent down-to-earth guy who likes to make a vid early in the morning and when the weather's nice he tells it sitting outside and you could see the beautiful view. Sometimes his wife will cook a recipe and so lately it seems he's got to even three vids a day... that's a lot I know. Anyway some of the videos are short ..only a couple minutes long. But because he's on a lot and he can always find something to talk about.. I'll usually just end up watching it. So even if you're not sailing maybe you can still make some vids about other things whether it's a cruise you went on or something else... that's just a recommendation I don't think you really have anything to lose. I just realized I didn't tell you the name of the guy's channel in case you want to just check it out : it's HOMESTEADING OFF THE GRID.. his name is Kevin.. used to be in the military and lived in the Philippines for 7 years and is also a writer. You could even be doing some traveling stuff.. 2 travel channels I like because the guys have great narrating voices are : prsw 100.. the guy used to be an airplane pilot and lives in Hong Kong. And then there's this guy that RVs all over the country and his is called "TRAVELING Robert ".. I don't like his opening song and I hope he'll change it but he has his loyal followers... does a live streaming chat Saturday evenings. If you watch any of them you'll see I just like nice down-to-earth people and can't stand the KZbin Style that a lot of the younger kids like which is really obnoxious and in your face. Just start getting on the channel more... I think that's basically it you just got to think of things to talk about just be genuine and be yourself .

Hey John, thanks for replying. Didn’t mean to rock your boat (no pun intended). As a viewer I’ve witnessed the competition for eyes balls has gotten a bit tougher this past year. You’ve got the big dogs; Delos, RAN, Uma, Seadog, Distance Shores, the Wynns, and La Vagabonde, to mention a few, all putting out good quality videos and content while telling great stories. I have to assume you’re putting your work out on KZbin for our viewing pleasure and that’s greatly appreciated. The way I see it is, one is either barking with the big dogs or peeing with the pups!
