Trick is to jump over potholes right before you see them in an e-scooter! In my 3500 plus miles experience in riding e-scooters in NYC, I crashed twice on potholes only because I was distracted and rushing to work like a horse with blinders in the rain, respectively! Both times happening at night and with lightweight scooters that only had street tires. At the time, I only had less than 1500 miles of riding experience. Now, over 2000 miles later, I spot the road like a hawk and jump at every little imperfection and hole I see that would only be nuissances at worst if I ran over them without jumping or dodging. With that being said, I'm still able to do 25mph safely and consistently on my new e-scooter with dual suspension and 10-inch hybrid tires! I even go as far as dodging every manhole I see by going around them! Experience builds up skill and thus, builds safety! Absolute worth the tradeoff of having a massive, cumbersome e-bike to haul upstairs and store in tight apartment! An e-scooter is such a tremendous urban lifesaver under the right hands and experience while reaping maximum fun and utility!

@@chaxologist2024 I have up on scooters. Since this scooter with 10" tires I bought an xplor Odyssey. 6kw. 13x5" massive tires for a scooter. But even on that and even with over 3k miles on it I was still worrying about the potholes and my heart would drop every time I ran over a pothole at 60 mph that I didn't see till the last second. Riding was far far far less fun.. after the xplor I built a bomber. 27" tires. 17kw. 70mph. Spent 2 years and over $10k building it. And literally on ride #1 2 minutes after leaving the house I knew my scooter days were permanently finished. Riding became fun again because I slowly started to realize I didn't have to have a 1.5 second panick attack every time I ran something over. Even hitting real deep potholes it was nothing for 27 inch motorcycle tires and motorcycle suspension and brake fade 100% disappeared with motorcycle quad piston hydraulic brakes and hydraulic levers and real dot brake fluid. Going from a production high end scooter to a relatively upper mid level diy was an astronomical difference for the better. I put over 7k miles on that bike in 3 years. And now as of this past summer I daily drive a admitjet armor electric supermoto. 50kw. Mid drive. 4 speed manual transmission. 85mph top speed on stock gearing. Over 100mph top speed with a simple sprocket swap. Real dirtbike suspension. Real racing quad piston brakes. Big ass 84v 60AH battery.. It makes my bomber feel like a fisher price toy made for toddlers. Lol. I put about 500 miles on it so far. And I've long since forgotten what it even means to focus so heavily on the street because I'm terrified of potholes. I just cruise. Enjoy the ride. And focus on what really matters because it's a very real danger to all bikes.... The other cars on the road which might as well have a lifetime immunity to murder they're so unbelievably dangerous and stupid on the streets.

I could even get some other motors if I need to but I really want to avoid getting an arduino and 100 components for practically tank control with joystick. Here is my set up, I'm going to use either 1 or 2 Ryobi 18VDC batteries, step them down to 12VDC, OR 2 18VDC in series to step 36VDC down to 24VDC, to run the power wheel motors and have one on each back wheel of push cart. I have a quick release pin that will let wheels free spin if I don't want to use motors and manually push. Last piece of the puzzle is what you've made. I am going to use the exact same controller you have, I am looking at some ERCs but my god the specs are so vague like "30A" is that per motor or total? Even the motors are so generic that you can't find amps or wattage.... I am my wits end until I found your video and now have a glimmer of hope.

A bit late for you, but for anyone else encountering this problem, it's easily resolved. There are clues on the ISDT website but it doesn't explain the process properly. I rather stupidly clicked on update while at the field earlier today while using the smartphone app to monitor some charging. I assumed it was offering an app update but realised too late that I was actually updating the K2 Air's firmware! It failed - maybe because of mobile data strength or Bluetooth range. Nothing worked - power cycling, button combinations, re-attempting via ISD Link etc. and I experienced the exact same symptoms as in the video. After some abortive tries via the ISD Link app, I downloaded ISD Go from the ISDT website onto my PC, powered on the charger, connected via a USB A to USB C cable and followed the menu to firmware updates - a minute or so later, I had a fully functioning charger with my charge history intact.

what does the odo meter do ? and were do i set it on ? how does that work ? thats the total distance right ?
@jstagzsr8 ай бұрын
The odometer is the amount of total miles you have rode for. Since this product is designed for bikes it will have features for bikes. We don't use the ODO for our RC cars. I mean, you could. If you wanted to see the total amount of miles you have drove your car for you could leave the meter in your car and running every time you use your car. And what you set it on is either nothing or whatever you want. The odometer will calculate the amount of miles traveled but they allow it to be settable in case you are coming from another odometer to this one. Say you have 74,000 mi traveled on another device, you could enter those 74,000 mi into this new device so you can keep total track. Or you could start from zero. So you could literally set it to whatever you want or nothing at all.

@jstagzsr8 ай бұрын
Sounds like it could be a battery issue? Is your battery good? If your battery is damaged or old and does not hold a charge well then the ESC will cut power once the voltage reaches below a certain threshold. That's the only thing I think of off top of my head.
@mikerock1488 ай бұрын
I forgot to mention that it's running off of a milwaukee 5.0 battery and the issue is with the milwaukee battery. Other name brand traxxis battery's it is fine
@jstagzsr8 ай бұрын
@@mikerock148 well that's obviously the issue then. Lol. So what's happening is the massively overpowered arrma ESC is making the Milwaukee M18 5.0 over discharge so hard that the battery is depleted under the LVC cutoff point in 10 seconds. At full charge the battery has enough voltage to make the ESC think everything is fine. But as soon as you hit the throttle the ESC draws too much current and the voltage drops and the ESC cuts power to stop itself from destroying a battery from low voltage. Assuming it's a Milwaukee m18, You're using an 18v battery capable of about 20 amps max on a 24v 150A system.. you're destroying an expensive Milwaukee battery and not giving your car the power it needs to run. If you have a 6s battery that works why would you want to use a battery that doesn't work? You're gonna end up starting a fire. Those drill batteries are only 5s 2p usually for the 18v 5ah and 3ah versions

Could I mix a 2s 5400 Lipo and a 4s 7000 to hit 6s in this rc?
@jstagzsr9 ай бұрын
Short answer, no. Long answer: You CAN mix a 2s 5400mah and 4s 5400mah. All a lipo is is individual cells. 2s= two 4.2v cells. 7s = seven 4.2v cells. So using different S batteries is fine. All you're doing is adding more cells. We do this every time we build a battery. Lots of small cells= one large battery. Series for adding up the voltages, parallel for adding up the capacities and discharge current. But the problem arrives with the different capacities. 5400mah and 7000mah are not compatible. The lower "mah" pack will drain faster and at a lower voltage have to discharge at a higher current to meet the wattage of the ESC. Which can easily put it over its max spec. But even if it doesn't break the max spec line and stuff you into possible fire territory, its still a no go. It's not even a good idea to mix different brands or even different age batteries even if they're the same make and model because internal resistances are gonna be different.

Scooters are definitely fun because you can carve on them but I daily drive my PEVs to and from work So I cared way more about how comfortable the ride was and not having to worry about potholes and stuff. An e-bike is without a question the best move for me. Luckily receivers are cheap. Go buy another receiver. That's almost definitely the problem. You can test this. If your driving still works but steering does not, put your esc in the servo slot and put the servo in the esc slot. Now the throttle on your remote should control the servo and steering wheel should control throttle. how did you bind your transmitter with your receiver? classic mode enhanced mode??
@jstagzsr Жыл бұрын
I don't even know what you're referring to.. this is a V1 noble with the firmware that was released right after I got my noble like 3-4 years ago. If enhanced mode was released at any point since then I don't have it. What I did to bind the receiver was exactly what I showed in the binding video. It's called "noble receiver not binding? update rx" or something like that. There was no option to select enhanced or classic mode. At least that I can remember. This is an older video. I'm def gonna check that out though cuz I love new features! I just haven't had an aide to update anything since my Noble runs on hundred percent perfect.

can you tell me what settings did you change on your transmitter so that your voltage sensor worked? i have a fgr4 v2 receiver, i assume you have one v1 or v2
@jstagzsr Жыл бұрын
Tbh I can't even remember. This was so long ago. I used this same sensor in every car I had on my noble though so I set it up like 20 times. I'm pretty sure you just plug it in and it works.
