My Muay Thai coach taught me a simple Baguazhang style set of movements that when combined with the Muay Thai/Muay Chaiya triangle style footwork is extremely effective footwork for modern striking. It may look artistic in the way he is doing it here but in addition to being artistic there are extremely useful movements in baguazhang that are useful for circling one's opponent. I have used it in the context of an actual MMA match and noticed my opponent had a look of fear on his face at one point when I started circling him like he was a prey animal about to be eaten. I like these spinning footwork techniques because it allows me to create angles on opponents that are really hard to create with the normal linear footwork patterns

How it got there I don't know. I had no idea how rich and beautiful the Orthodox religion was. Still I was a sceptic and it happened. In my apartment the Bronx I saw a Cross with the figure of a man shining in the middle of the table. I started calling everyone, even took a picture of it. This is the part when people asked me if had any mind altering narcotics, or excessive alcohol. Nevertheless I started reading the lives of many saints of the Orthodox faith. Especially those of Maximos the confessor, Issak the Syrian, Gregory of Palamas, Nectarios, John of Damascus, Paisios and Porphyrios, The Hesychasts and many more. Though I'm far from the transformation of my temptations, The answer came to me, not in a rational logical Augustinian approach, but in a way that made me understand clearly that savior i mentioned previously lay the road map for goal of Theosis and really grasping the meaning and purpose of life. Nevertheless I have you to thank Kouli, for your books, especially the one of your experiences on the Holy mountain ignited my understanding of these Mystics. I must also mention one of the greatest lessons l learned was to witness how intellectual pride had blinded me into stepping into a realm which l never thought existed. Regardless of the fact that Science is necessary in our human evolution, and l still can't see the connection with God and human evolution, l also understand why the Orthodox view this as a mystery and not in a rational sense as the west does. When I read a book on the historical Jesus I finally grasped that simplicity is truly the essence of style, and such a man with so many witnesses could not be fictional. Thank you for letting me share this with you. I miss the days when you and my father use to play Tavli all night long. My regards to Emi, Constantine and Vasia.

It's funny, but when I read the title of this video, I instantly focused on the words inner peace and thought ( inner peace is a state of being) And as for forgiveness, I personally never ask for it because it implies shame and regret and for me they are not very balanced emotion and they do not align with the present moment (the eternal now) And if I do something that does not align with my inner truth, I apologise. The same way the true peace and true happiness come from within. And so is forgiveness , you have to forgive yourself or other wise you will be stuck in the past, stuck in shame and regret and other emotions that might come from it and you will not be able to express yourself as a true reflection of all there is or great spirit or god or whatever you call the source of everything.
