Main criticism is there were some *major* issues with the attackers not properly conceding hits. Contestants were pulling clear KO shots so they didn't cause serious injury, and the attackers just would just walk through them like they're nothing. I saw in another video Jeff giving a talk to everyone before the challenge started, where he explained the attackers would react realistically and would go down if they were hit with what would be a disabling/KO blow. This just didn't happen. It came across a bit as if the attackers wanted to be characters in the 'show' and were not playing their role as attackers in a SD scenario. Especially with stuff like the jumping matrix wall run attacks in the shank tank, it's entertaining, but it's also really dumb for a self defence challenge scenario. Also worth noting for safety concerns - Natan saw that the attackers weren't doing their job properly and he'd have to hit them for real, so he did, and he definitely gave several people concussions, and at least one guy a busted rib. It's not okay to put the attackers safety at risk like that, or force contestants to actively try and hurt people when they're clearly uncomfortable with it.

The first one was interesting. The second one was disapointing. We want to see self defence and not the fight of professional fighters. For this, we can watch UFC, etc. The winning of Nathan is not a surprised. BTW, Jeff should get much more score. However, Jeff and Nathan are pro fighters, they did not do self defence, they fight. I though they idea was to see which non pro martrial artists are the best in self defence situation. Having pro fighters there does not make any sense.n

last time I looked, UFC doesn't have escape and evasion, shank tank, or bar fight sims? Also there were only two pro fighters present, Natan and Jeff. The others, even if they're high level in their discipline, are not pro fighters.

@@dylanbowker9563 To be honest Nelson was strong going forward and Barry wasn't has fit has him I think if there's a rematch clause which there should be Barrie will beat him next time out, Nelson was pushing Barrie onto the ropes and fighting up close what Barrie should have done was drawn him to the center because he was hammering Nelson out boxing him totally Nelson knew the only chance he had was to keep him on the ropes Barrie let it happen next time he won't.
