Godo news about the eligibility for the hip op. A steroid injection might give you a few months grace period if you're lucky. If you need a new hip then you need a new hip. Hiding the issue with steroid injections isn't the right approach (but is most often used - to give the Docs time). No offence, but diets don't tend to fail (although there are some questionable ones out there), it's the person doing them who fails, they lose focus/commitment and stick to them, etc. I've said this to you before, "train the mind and the body will follow", if you think of a diet as being restrictive and taking away the things you want, then you will fail. Subtle changes, having a willingness to accept those changes are needed. I think you may find the keto diet a challenge, especially as you're so carb biased in the foods you eat and it can be such a sudden change to what you normally eat. You don't need any special diet/fad. Weight loss in it's most basic form is calories in versus calories out. If you stick to that then you will lose weight.

Gawn yersel, (not so) big man! Glad to hear you're sticking at it, this stage when it all slows doon a bit can be a tad disheartening but, on the other hand, look at what you've achieved so far and gie yersel a pat on the back. I hit 15 stones in March of this year and was horrified, but motivated to do something about it. Luckily, I don't have any mobility problems yet so I'm able to golf three days and was doing a 4 mile walk on another two. That, combined with cutting out bread, butter and reducing the amount of oil I use in cooking has got me between 12 stone 10 pounds and 13 stones so I'm well happy. Don't know if you've got one but see air fryers, they're brilliant. I can still enjoy the occasional treat of sausages or bacon but without the tray full of fat that comes oot. I widnae be withoot it! Anyhoo, I wish you fortitude and success and look forward to your next prime video.

Intermittent fasting is fabulous for healing and reduces inflammation (for example in osteoporosis), are you able to count subs in foods you eat when out and about (work meetings etc etc)? I’m doing SW & IF and I weigh monthly as I find the numbers can mess with our brains! It’s a slow journey but worth it if you keep at it. Good luck!

Slimming world is honestly designed to make you come back, it would be bad for business to be too effective. 3-4 meals a day and no bigger than a fist is the best rule of thumb I lost nearly a stone in a single month just from that alone. I was a little mindful of fats but nothing to sweat about and count.

Fasting is a double edge sword, because you put your body into starvation mode so what you eat the following day matters because what ever you eat, will be stored by the body because of that potentiality to starve again.

'trust the process'...it's working and it will continue to work. Odd stops and starts happen, body's are weird, normal to feel crappy, just keep going and you'll get there. ('trust the process' is a phrase by Alan Gordon from his book 'the way out', great book on pain, not recommending, just referencing!)

At it's simplest form, weight loss (due to reduction in body fat) is basically calories in versus calories out. You need to expend more calories than you consume. When people IF the majority of the weight loss is due to people eating less, but for some people they don't notice any loss (or even gain weight) due to cramming/binge eating when they aren't fasting. There can be some other benefits related to IF (dependant on strategy) with hormones, blood sugars, it can alter how your metabolism works. But you will need to IF for quite a while to get some of these effects. But it isn't suitable for everyone. Fat and sugar shouldn't be your "enemies", but calories as a whole. You could be only having 5% sugar and 5% fat in your diet, but if you're still eating 4000 calories of carbs then you'll be gaining weight. I can see where you are coming from from focusing on fat/sugars, they tend to be more calorie "dense" foods, but look holistically at all food groups. Some weeks/days will be better than others for weight loss, I can tell you that over night I can lose 8 pounds in weight (sweating/breathing/peeing), the majority of daily weight variation is due to the fluids we consume/lose. Keep with it mate, it's a long journey with the odd detour/bump along the way. You are doing great and showing everyone what can be achieved 😁👍

You’re still smashing it overall mate… one week where you can’t explain why the weight hasn’t come off, happens!!! - I had it was it two or three weeks ago. Intermittent Fasting seems to be working for me, so maybe park it for a bit and revisit when you find you are hitting a wall. 👍 KEEP WINNING!!! Steve G 👍

Definitely David I learned a long time ago how the spray oil kills non stick coatings, it's burn point is too low and sticks to the non stick surface 👍

Welcome back Chubby Cheeks 😉😂 Glad to see you're still progressing 👍 You will still need some carbs throughout the day, I would slowly reduce them otherwise your energy levels will drastically drop. High protein is good, it's a high thermogenic food and also a high satiate type of food. But increase it gradually. If your looking to introduce more veg and not keen on the stuff, one trick is to find recipes that impart their flavour to the vegetable and the veg is amalgamated into the dish, not a recipe whether the veg stands out on it's own. Curries, stews, dhals, etc. Still love your enthusiasm and determination 👍

Hi Kwokyln, just wanted to say cheers! Tried a veganised version of this recipe the other day (missus is a herbivore) for the first time and it's absolutely spot on.
