This is a great mod ! do you need any programming at all after you bleed the brakes? is there anything special that need to be done during the bleeding? (maybe one side before the other?) do you bleed the brakes just like any other car? Thanks

One for sale up here with 367,000km, looks good still. 2006-2009 is the 4.4 and 4.2 engines, likley the best engines ever made for the Landrover. To bad they screwed up the 5L, otherwise it could have ben a longer stretch of years. These trucks do not like weak batteries and complain a lot when you have a bad battery.

I traded my 06 LR3 140k miles that I had for 10 years for a 2018 Disco 5 as a safer more reliable family car 3 years ago. It went for ~$4k which was tough after many great years with it. Little did I know I could have just left it for 4 years and it might have even improved in condition 😂 It's probably worth more now with all these awesome videos people are putting out about the LR3

The most reliable Land Rover ever in the US. The rest of the world has a lot more reliable diesel Land Rovers, like the Series, Defenders, Disco 1 and 2 and the old Classic Range Rovers with the diesel engines. I do own a Discovery 3 with the 4.4 V8 made for the European market though, lovely vehicle!

Really great video Justin Your Defender has EAS What about a Llams device to allow you more control over the suspension height IE - raised, but not at full height, so that u retain better ride quality Thoughts ??
@Lucky8
@Lucky8 10 күн бұрын
I'm not a fan of the Lamb's device. The bags can only inflate so much before the car becomes undrivable. With our lift rods and our SYA kit, the car rides soft, as shown in the video. Plus it is still usable at off-road height. Anything more makes it too bouncy, like a pogo stick.

2 years into enjoying my 2022 Defender 110 TReK Edition (#24/70) I have sometimes wished for bigger tires (32"), higher lift (1.5"), and better off-roading skills - but never have I needed more power or torque than the 4-cylinder P300 provides for my fully loaded Defender on any trail, nor would I trade my 18" steelies for the V8 or 6-cylinder engine.
@Lucky8
@Lucky8 14 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment, and congratulations on your Trek! I hear and respect what you're saying. The P300 definitely gets the job done; I’ve been on the trails with many of them over the last few years, but you can tell they're pushing hard on that pedal. On the other hand, the 18-inch wheels are a great trade-off and a nice option without needing a caliper swap. I think I'm just too spoiled after driving so many miles in the P400 and P500..

When I purchased my LR4 it already had this tire carrier installed. It has always been pretty difficult to open and close the carrier, but I assumed that was how it was designed. It has been getting more and more difficult and now it takes pretty much all my weight to open or close it. I watched your video and you mentioned a bolt that goes up into the carrier from under the bumper into the cylinder that goes into the bumper. I also see that the one you installed opens with just the gas strut and is easy to close. When I look at mine I do not see a bolt in there, so I think it must be missing. So a couple of questions: 1) should I be worried about that bolt not being in there? 2) any idea why it is so hard to open an close and any idea how to fix it?
@Lucky8
@Lucky8 17 күн бұрын
I'm sorry I don't know how to answer this without seeing the carrier. I would definitely recommend putting a bolt in but I don't think that is what's causing it to be difficult to open
