It amazes me that studios continue to green light flop after flop staring egotistical method actors like Jerod Leto who abuse the cast and crew because they’re “in character l” when there are so many great actors like Martin Freeman and Richard Armitage ( and Peter Jackson’s entire ensemble Middle Earth cast) who give way more engaging and compelling performances being team players.

This was a brilliant take on the zombie; first time I had seen them given a life cycle. Martin Freeman knocked it out of the ballpark from start to finish. The story was beautiful. He started off father to one but ended up father to two; she lost a father then gained one. Beautiful! The scenes of his last human moments in the film, where he basically said goodbye to the girls and told them to climb up - the lump in my throat just wouldn’t budge from then. 😢😢. The look on The Clever Man’s face when he clocked the whole setup; the meat on the stick, the tied hands, the piggy back - epiphanic! The whole cast sicked it!

This part made me cry the most. He never thought about anything else but rosie and thoomie. He just wanted the children to be safe and cared for before he turned and lost himself. The chief of the tribe was very merciful to him by giving him an honorable death.

I always forget he’s not from the USA with how good his American accent is. At least it sounds authentic to me! I’m no expert on accents or anything. 😂❤

I've just learned about this actor after watching The Fargo. I rarely like American movies, most of them are boring. But Fargo is great! I liked how this actor played Lester! A really funny character! And I learned many new English expressions in the movie! Freedom speaks understandably unlike some other actors (Molly and Gas). My aim is to understand English movies without subtitles! I'm glad that I at last found a good American movie to watch and practice hearing skills! Because I often give up watching them in the middle. Best wishes from Donbass! ❤ And welcome Russian learners to my channel!

4:38 they should’ve used this take in the movie. Bilbo’s denial, his efforts to force a smile, followed by that total breakdown and silent scream at 4:45 is the greatest acting I’ve ever seen from Martin Freeman. Tears the heart right out of the chest.

He's such a good actor that he really started to creep me out when playing the role. And as someone who lived in Minnesota for 6 years, that accent is incredible.

Some may say that this movie is a critique of sorts on man destroying the environment. I say that is complete and total bull sh^t. This is a movie about the undying love that a father and a mother have for their daughter. It is about FAMILY.

Solid zombie movie! Someone was finally able to make an apocalyptic movie that shows how love was able to outweigh any other emotion/desire.
