I cried back when I was younger when Chopper died. The only game to make me do that was Red Dead Redemption 2......

To this day it still gets me. It was well played out when your wingmen went silent and the only thing that came across was them groaning as they pushed their plans to their limits. I went guns myself just out of hate and spite myself all those years ago. Still the best in the series to me with 7 not far behind though. AC7 was beautiful as well. Felt like they found their footing again but 5 to me needs an update and re-released.

I love how the game makes you really feel like you’re the demon once he dies. The way the enemies say things like “They’re maneuvering even better than before!” “Did the demon’s take them over?!” The game makes you feel extra badass on purpose. They know you’re angry. They even gave you the option to say no to Thunderhead when he tells you to engage for that same reason

I still remember how pissed i got at davenport dying, none of my other wingmen even got a chance to get a kill.

Pure hateful rage flowed through me when I played this for the first time and it’s still impossible not to feel that every replay. THIS is Ace Combat at its best.

The next couple of missions it was hard i didn't have the same motivation i really liked chopper

Didn’t play the game for another month or two after this... but I tried to be strong and still play but at the same time can’t get over his death... ☹️

3:04 when I started this mission and I saw him fall to his death I screamed and cried out “NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!” It was the most heartbreaking and terrible moment I also still suffer from PTSD to this day 😔😭💔

It's so sad to hear Thunderblockhead, who had a bit of a beef with Chopper, desperately trying to keep him in the air. Wasn't this the first time he addressed him as "Chopper"?

After 16 years and i still cry after I remember this mission,,

First time I played this mission I was playing cooky , but when chopper died , I just thought it's my fault for real, so I return the mission 4 times then I realised that it was a part of the story

This made my cry, ace combat keep it up

As a kid a decade + back this made me cry pretty good I was emotionally invested in this spending a summer just playing this on the hardest difficulty. It hurt lol

Such a missed opportunity to play Blurry by Puddle of Mudd. Choppers song. Would've hit harder shooting down that wave after he dies with that in the background.

3:06 that scream paralize me for a second, ive witnessed many videogame characters died before, but this one...this was the first time that i actually cried and felt a lot of rage against the enemy

a war where 2 countries are tricked into killing each other by people, who just want plain-fucking-revenge, cuz they got nothing better to do than LOSING a war they paid the price for.

My eyes watered up... it's been maybe 10-11 years since I've played this. I didn't think it would have the same effect.

It would have been nice to have a mission in the New Ace Combat over November City. I’ll be the stadium would have been rename Chopper Field or Capt. Davenport Arena.

Yuke Squadron: "These guys are no demons! We can take them!" Blaze (says in heart with engaging mode to Yuke Squadron): "What did you do to my friend! You killed my friend! Therefore there is no mercy for you! You have to pay for it!"
