From what I understand, wagers still require to kill players. It's just some tasks that will accept bots, but not even all the tasks. So unfortunately it's not a big change in that respect.😒

I played OD-200 in Naval Arcade, and it's great. It's one of the best rank 1 boats, very dangerous to fight against. I normally don't play Naval Realistic, mainly because I don't like manually adjusting the shooting distance.

I play for fun, I don't care about being "good". So I'm apparently "bad", but at least I'm happy.

Arcade actually the fastest way rp/min you can get compared to other mode

I haven't played them yet. War Thunder is so huge that I don't really have time to check everything. I keep jumping between different game modes and different vehicles. And now the new BP season has started, so it would make most sense to focus on tasks again. This game is just overwhelming.

Maybe it's not very good, but at least it's unique. 😅

Yeah, it's a shame we can't test premium vehicles in battles. Something like 10 free battles would be enough to get a good feeling of the vehicle. But I understand Gaijin wants money and bad purchases are simply part of the current system. I regret buying this plane too, but I can't do anything about it now. Maybe someday I will learn to play it, but I doubt it. I just don't feel this plane at all, I don't like it.

It's hard to call it a dogfight, I was just trying to survive. The enemy had almost all the cards in his hand. The only advantage my team had was 2v1 at the end.

Yeah, that's why my opinions are only my opinions. Maybe this plane just fits my playstyle, but I like it. You can turnfight enemies with it, which is great. But when you're playing against much faster opponents, it can be frustrating. If they won't make a mistake, there is nothing you can do, because you lack speed. I'm still doing fine in this plane (even in full uptiers), so from my perspective it's a good plane.

It depends from your playstyle and preference. I really like F-5 planes, their flight model is excellent. But they heavily rely on their guns and dogfighting. From the other hand F-4 planes have radar-guided missiles that can be very strong if you manage to keep the radar lock on the target. Many players also take bombs with them and destroy bases for additional rewards.

I completed all challenges this season, so it wasn't too hard BP season for me. But of course every person is different and judge things from their perspective.

It's not good for grinding, not at this BR. Maybe some day it will drop to 9.0 BR and it will be in a much better position. But currently at 9.3 BR it faces 10.3 planes almost all the time and it's just not fun. In the current state of the game 10.3 is a very popular BR with Su-25 and A-10A planes. Planes from 9.3 to 10.0 are usually dragged into 10.3 battles. And the F-100F is not even good at 9.3, so you can imagine how it feels in a 10.3 battle.

The F104C should be a much better option. It is much faster with much better acceleration. You can use your speed more effectively to avoid missiles.

To be honest, any rank 3 or higher lineup in Air Arcade will work. I really like the 4.3 BR German lineup with Bf 109 F4. They are fast, powerful and easy to use. But this challenge is not that hard, any lineup will work, you just need domination battles (this is the tricky part, as not every battle in Air Arcade has airfields to capture). BTW: Keep in mind, this challenge also requires at least 70% activity in the battle, so when you capture 1 airfield, get 1 ground kill and 1 plane kill, make sure to increase your score a bit, to keep your activity above 70%.

At lower BRs they are very fun for me. But at higher BRs I just don't like them. At 2:55 you can see the problem with not having the gun depression. I almost died there just because I couldn't get the gun on the target. They work better if you focus on long range shooting, but not every map allows for that.

Destroying bases is the only thing that worked for me in this plane and it's pretty good for the score. The difficult part is that usually you have to avoid enemies to reach the bases. On some maps it's easier, on other maps it's hard. Anyway, good luck!

Well, these kinds of battles can be relaxing, at least for me. I can just focus on shooting accurately and it's still enjoyable to get kills.

You don't need that many kills to get the 1st place in Air Realistic. I honestly think this is easier to achieve in Air Realistic than Air Arcade. But it also depends which plane you use. I lately played some weak planes where it's really hard for me to do well. There is also a huge difference in Air Realistic between stock and spaded planes. Fortunately, the RP is very good in this game mode, so it doesn't take too long to spade planes.

Thanks, but I think my aim is actually not very good. I'm an Arcade player, so I'm used to having an aiming indicator. Without it, it's much harder to hit the enemy for me. I play Air Realistic only because it's easier to complete events in this game mode. Battles in Air Realistic are much calmer, and you get more score and rewards for doing less than in Air Arcade. So it's a perfect game mode to complete Air events and research modifications and planes very quickly.

I think that's why you see so many heavy tanks in the game currently. Tanking hits also means more score, so it's actually a good thing, especially during the event. Such vehicles are quite easy to play and they can give very good scores at the same time. If you need SL, the premium version is definitely a good choice. As you can see, I gained 135k SL in this 7 minute battle.

Oh, I don't have the Yak-38 and it doesn't look like a plane for me to be honest. I'm a newbie in Air Realistic (I only play it rarely during events, so it's hard to learn and get used to this game mode). I'm happy even if I manage to get like 2-3 kills and survive. But in most battles I just die in a silly way. Air Realistic is maybe not that hard to play, but it's definitely hard to master. Especially at higher BRs, where I usually don't do very well.

Yeah, just imagine if this wasn't a Light Tank, but a different class vehicle. I wouldn't be able to do anything in the battle.☹ That's the problem with many stock vehicles, but Gaijin seems to ignore this completely. Or maybe not ignore, this is the way they want to frustrate players, so they prefer to pay GE to get key modifications. I still don't think such tactics is needed for the game, they gain millions of $ a year just from selling premium vehicles.

Overall, I really like Swedish planes. Especially 13.2 mm guns are excellent. I wish there were more propellers with these guns.😁 I haven't played SAABs yet. I usually play jets in Realistic, and I'm not good in this game mode (I rarely play there).

@@_Poul_ The B18s are the SAAB 18s, but I agree with you the Swedish 13.2s are amazing! I once used them in desperation and got a very quick kill. Definitely a shame that many planes lack it.

@@smortstonk4591 Oh I see. I thought you are talking about jet SAABs.😄 The devs love to copy-paste the same vehicles, but I'm really sad they still haven't copy-pasted a premium version of the J22-B. This is one of my favorite propellers in the game. And it doesn't even have a proper lineup in Arcade.

I don't play Naval much lately. Especially the fragmentation damage change made Bluewater experience much worse for me. I have barely played Bluewater battles, so I can't comment much on the new camera position. It should be better for shooting at longer distances, but it can be confusing at shorter distances. I will probably play Naval during the next Winter event. Maybe I will finally spade all remaining Cruisers. I would love to do this before the devs add Submarines to the game. This can change the game mode completely, especially at higher BRs. I don't know if you noticed, but they already made water on many maps much deeper. Submarines can be fun, but it all depends how they implement them. It will also be hard to balance them. There is a high chance that Submarines will be either useless or completely overpowered.

@_Poul_ I honestly believe in the mode played. I think at first it is going to be bad as I forsee games where it will be almost all subs on both sides which will be boring as anything.

@_Poul_ also the whole in realistic no automatic torpedo reloading with the extreme slow speed with the subs not being able to get to the capture points will be detrimental for them.

I played a bit with Cruisers today, and yeah, the new camera position feels better. The only problem is that so many maps are pretty much completely open. But I like this new camera position.
