It's a very important and based stuff. There are a couple things that are kind of gross - 1. Žižek saying "imagine the outcry if russians would commit that sort of atrocities in Ukraine". They did. Perhaps Slavoj was asleep on Apr 1st, 2022. 2. The filmmaker person talking about marxism as a force against injustice. Of course, he-growing up in israel-he doesn't know that marxism doesn't help the working class, but rather oppresses it as there is no definition of proletariat in it. The guy with the rifle gets to decide. It's absolutely the same sort of fascism as italian, as german, as russian, as israeli. Even under definition of the person 55:00 it was.

32:30 Reminder - (Just like Zelensky in Ukraine) .... _'Mr Hitter and the Nazties'_ were jewish actors whose scripts and photoshoots were set up by the Zionist Movement to achieve only their own Zionist goals. Now listen again carefully to Udi Aloni's rant.

how does the project of greater Israel, as an identitarian project, relate to capitalist growth and the crisis of growth in terms of militarism etc - not so difficult to understand, but identity is about the limits of understanding. c.f. Richard Wolin, The Seduction of Unreason

Don DeLillo is an outstanding writer, one of the greatest American writers of the second half of the 20th century. Regarding the mention of Chamberlain, I believe his umbrella was present when he talked to the press after his visit to Munich and Hitler, declaring 'peace for our time', an act that has become the ultimate symbol of the failed appeasement politics towards Nazi Germany, I believe also referred to as 'umbrella politics'. That Joe Kennedy would have been an supporter of appeasement remains to be seen, I think on the contrary, also in the light of the book 'Lessons in courage' that JFK wrote afterwards. Anyway, thank you for sharing this interview.

Minuto 23. Puntos cardinales. Arboleda del sur. Memoria residual. Identidad. El viejo cine de las salas. Luz & oscuridad.

its a good interview but this kid doesn't know how to ask a straight concise question...he goes on & on & Friedkin ends up just giving up on waiting for the question to end & interrupts to deliver a monologue on a key word from the questioner's ramble eg 'The Exorcist' or 'Citizen Kane.' I myself didn't understand one question, but i understood every answer

Lovely to watch these interviews, especially now we have lost him. Stopping to make a pot of tea to share, such a genial host. A class act. Not hiding behind a publicist and restricting interviewers to a few minutes of filtered questions like the new generation of actors and directors. He was comfortable to speak for himself and to give the time to really ruminate on the subject. We will miss such people.

(Haussmann)

These are two remarkably intelligent artists, both of them giving sharp insights which waste no words. Dangerous Liaisons remains one of my favorite movies, one I re-watch frequently and always with intense delight. Like these two men speaking about the film and their art generally, there's not a wasted moment.

The best feeling or the better way for Alicia Vikander, as she and director Olivier Assayas discussed about the plot, Alicia's character Mira Harberg, and how the 1996 remake became very modern and the difference of a Hongkong actress and an American actress as well.
