Hi Nev. Thanks to your shooter stance videos I am bowling really well. But I have found in singles matches I get very nervous and even have hypertension which totally wrecks my game. It maybe just how I am so should I avoid singles as I do have issues with stress? 63 dint help as an old fart 🙄😂

Great value Nev, just stepped up to third and committed to more practice, I’ve already found that a bad day with a better practice work ethic is not such a bad day. I will incorporate your advice from this video, thanks again

Really enjoyed this video. This is something I'm just getting my head around, visualisation. It's getting there. The biggest advance for me has been the shooters stance. Absolutely a game changer. Thanks

Hi from Spain. I am a very inconsistent bowler so I am going to try this in practice tomorrow. I would like to see your stance on the mat for backhand shots, in particular where you typically place your right foot. I enjoy the natural presentation of all your videos, kind regards, John. PS I will let you know how my practice session goes...and beyond!!!

Is the shooter stance the same whether your a right or left hand bowler? Do you use the opposite if your left handed ie left foot for balance? Any teaching tips for left handed bowlers would be helpful when coaching left hand bowlers.thanks a lot! 😊

Parella is the worst driver of all time. Dirty trick cutting out the ending. I'm sure Wood was the better bowler and won.

Hi watching your video Nev on the shooters stance which I find invaluable due to balance problem I have to use a fixed stance. I use a DHB bowling arm, do I just place the center of the bowl into the cradle and deliver?.

Hello Nev Radha.. I am one of your KZbin subscribers. I have a question . I need clarification about my right arm as I release the bowl. I am right handed. I understand that for consistency and aiming to hitting my target you suggest I keep my right arm closer or (touching?) my body as I release the ball. Pls confirm this and/or explain a bit more about this practice. Also pls give me your email address if that’s ok. Kind regards Vic

Howdy Nev, I'm new to bowls, I have noticed that some bowlers (on the take-away) swing the bowl in the hand, to the left and then it realigns again at release.. why is that? .. thank you in advance..Steve

I am a first year bowler and since viewing all your videos (over and over) things are starting to click. The defining moments were firstly the grip, secondly the shooters stance and thirdly the delivery. My bowls have just gone from strength to strength to the point I am consistently getting my weight and line right on. People are now calling me to be lead in their teams. Nev can i just say to people like me (beginners) get a routine and never deviate. As long as what you are doing is right you cannot go wrong. Its helped me so much. Derrick Hodgson NZ

Hi Nev. I've been playing for 7 years and have good and bad games and don't have that consistency needed to progress beyond my current level. Having said that I have adopted your coaching tips regarding grip, stance and delivery. WOW...what a difference this has made to my game. Many thanks and regards. Douglas from Scotland.

I have not long taken up the game of bowls here in Scotland and I am forever trying different grip/gripping of the bowl/s! I noticed your last 3 fingers are positioned across the surface of the bowl, rather than with the direction your delivery/follow through to your intended line of aim? While your thumb and forefinger in being used/positioned to direct the bowl too your intended target! Could you explain please?

I've played for 30+ years. I've struggled mentally with my forehand for 10 years or so to the point where I favour my backhand. Not good and I'm sure I've lost games because of it. Have tried this stance in the living room (it's winter in New Zealand!) and immediately felt an improvement. Can't wait to try it outside.

I too have lost my forehand. I had a 30 year absence from the game, moved to America from the Uk and cannot get my forehand back,no matter what I try. I can’t skip anymore…all I can do is draw on my backhand. I’m definitely going to try this tomorrow! I just played in the US open a few days ago. I won 4 and lost 4. I can only imagine what I could’ve done if I had my forehand going!
